1. Main (1-3)
Mainly assess learners' copying ability.
Familiar with the use of brush, keep the correct writing posture and writing method. By copying the calligraphy, we can learn the basic structure of Chinese characters and master the basic brushwork of Chinese characters, so as to achieve the requirements of accurate stippling and appropriate structural proportion.

2. Intermediate (Grade 4-6)
This paper mainly examines the learners' ability to transform from copying to creation.
Through copying and preliminary creative training, we gradually meet the requirements of skilled pen use, accurate stippling and complete and reasonable structural composition.
Evaluation method: facing and creating.
Font selection (more than two): regular script, official script and running script.
3. Advanced (grades 7-9)
Mainly assess the creativity of learners.
Through the combination of creation and copying training, we can achieve skillful and natural brushwork, clever stippling, complete and reasonable structural composition and individual performance on the basis of tradition.
Assessment methods: presence, creativity and theoretical knowledge.
Font selection (more than two): Kai, Li, Xing, Zhuan, Cao.
It can be seen that it is not easy for calligraphy to reach Grade 9. First of all, you should master more than three calligraphy styles and have some knowledge of calligraphy theory, including the common knowledge and skills of calligraphy. If you have a certain foundation and write well, it will be relatively easy to reach the ninth grade. It usually takes three or four years of hard work. If you are a beginner, it will be more difficult. If you don't have a serious job for five or six years, you will basically fail the exam. Therefore, it is possible to reach the ninth grade of calligraphy through hard work and hard study.
