Ding Shichang's experience

In the 195s, when he was studying in a normal school, he had read two books, A Study on Chinese Painting Pigment and How I Draw Fine Flowers and Birds, written by Mr. Yu Feian in Beijing. He ordered Chinese painting pigment by mail from Suzhou Jiangsi Xutang, put it into practice seriously, and boldly wrote to Mr. Fei Wang, asking him about the technical problems he encountered in painting, and was taught by Yu Xiansheng one by one, and sent some demonstration drawings. In the 196s, when he was working in the library, he wrote to Mr. Yu Zhizhen for advice, and sent his exercises many times. At that time, Mr. Yu was in poor health and often fell ill, and every time he replied, someone else wrote a ghost letter, which made him very moved. In the 197s, I had the honor to know Mr. Yu Jigao. He saw the teacher's face-to-face painting demonstration for the first time and got a lot of inspiration from it. Since then, he has been cared and helped by Mr. Yu, which has greatly improved his artistic level. In addition, he also got the guidance of Mr. Zhang Jixin in Suzhou in freehand brushwork flower-and-bird painting. Over the past decades, through continuous study and exploration, he has been able to pay attention to the integration of southern elegance and northern grandeur in painting practice, and to absorb and apply new methods to enrich his painting language, to express and develop his artistic realm and form his own artistic style. He has created a large number of paintings, participated in dozens of exhibitions at home and abroad organized by cultural departments at or above the provincial level and the Artists Association, and many of his works have been collected by domestic and foreign art institutions and private individuals. In addition to painting, he also studied poetry, calligraphy and seal cutting. He studied poetry and seal cutting from Mr. Yu Shouyan, a famous poet and calligrapher, for 3 years. His poems on paintings are fresh and natural, and don't pretend to be difficult. Dozens of them have been published in Huhai Poetry and Jiangsu Flower and Bird Painting Research. Ding Shichang (date of birth and death is unknown), whose name is Shaoming, is an old man from Zhupo, a native of Huangyan (now Zhejiang), and Lang Congzi. Mu Tao Yuanming can't live in seclusion. The poem "Bored in Illness and Xu Yuanzi Sending Wine" includes "Quietly facing Tao Qian Path and chanting Du Fu's poems. People in white suddenly arrive and comfort themselves with wine. "Sima Zhong Fang sends autumn rhyme" says: "The night is long, the moon is cold, the insects are rushing, the sky is wide and the wind is high, and the geese are too late. Three-diameter yellow flowers keep the old knots, and half a column of red leaves fall off the branches. " Have a relationship with Xu Sidao (Yuanzi). There are poems, but no biography.
