The original surname is Hou, whose name is Jie, commonly known as Qian Shi, Shi Huang, Cang Wang and Cang Sheng. Shuowen Jiezi, Shiben and Huainanzi all recorded that Cang Xie was a left-handed historian of Chinese characters in the period of the Yellow Emperor. He got inspiration from the footprints of birds and animals, collected, sorted out and used them, and played an important role in the creation of Chinese characters, and was honored as the "sage of word creation".
According to the records in the Jade River Map and Zen Tong Ji, Cang Xie once stood on his own as emperor and was a tribal leader in ancient times. During the reign, he received Luo Shu in Luoshui.
Cang Xie is also the god of Chinese characters in Taoism. According to historical records, Cang Xie had two eyes and four eyes, and was born with a sense of virtue. He observed the movement trend of stars and the footprints of birds and beasts, and created characters according to his own image, which eliminated the ignorance of knotting at that time and created the foundation of civilization. Therefore, he is known as "Cang Xie of Wen Zu".
