Who is "Song Sijia" in the history of China's calligraphy? What are the representative works?

Under the guidance of individual spirit, calligraphy in the Northern Song Dynasty walked out of the low tide of calligraphy caused by the change of dynasties and ushered in the first peak of calligraphy in the "style era". The famous "Song Sijia" in the history of calligraphy, namely Su Shi, Huang Tingjian, Mi Fei and Cai Xiang, represent the highest achievements of this period.

1. Su Shi is the leader of Song Sijia. This is not only because he achieved the highest achievement and had the greatest influence in the literary world of the Northern Song Dynasty, but also because he was the ideological guide and practitioner of the wave of "personalization" in the Northern Song Dynasty. Su Shi's calligraphy is good at regular script, cursive script and cursive script. His cursive script is natural and simple, and his regular script is rich and mature, which is unique in the history of calligraphy. His artistic talent is very high and his understanding is excellent. Whenever ancient calligraphy passed before his eyes, he could not reach his intention of using a pen, nor did he stick to it. Although Su Shi was an official all his life, he was an outstanding artist who enjoyed a good reputation in the fields of literature, painting, music and calligraphy in China history. Before him, there were not so many talented and enlightened literati in China. They were writers, calligraphers and painters, so some researchers called him "the first literati painter in China". The representative works include Qianchibi Fu, Huangzhou Cold Food Poetry Post, Dongting Spring Fu, Zhongshan Songlao Fu and so on.

Su Dongpo's poems on Huangzhou cold food were praised as "the third running script in the world" by later generations.

Second, Huang Tingjian (1045- 1 105) was the most influential poet and calligrapher after Su Shi in the Northern Song Dynasty. He is eight years younger than Su Shi. He once swam under Su Shi, and was one of the "Four Bachelor of Su Men". He and Su Shi are also teachers and friends, and they will never turn against each other all their lives. In the history of calligraphy, Huang Tingjian has a high position. If we only create the personality of calligraphy, his achievements and influence are even above Su Shi's. Huang Tingjian's running script and cursive script are famous in the history of calligraphy in China. His running script is vigorous and powerful, and it can be said that it has a place in the history of calligraphy. Cursive stippling is a must in the history of calligraphy. His representative works include Fu Bo's Ci Zi Juan and Song Fengge's Poems. Cursive scripts include Li Bai's Memories of Time Past and Zhushangtie.

Thirdly, Mi Fei (1051~1107) has the best "Song Sijia" traditional skills. In the early days of his calligraphy, he called himself "Jiguzi". In other words, every word in his calligraphy has a source. It was only in his later years that he integrated these changes and formed his own family. However, in Song Sijia, his calligraphy is most closely related to the traditional umbilical cord, so on the surface, his calligraphy seems to have less personality and more inheritance. In fact, in the exquisite form of cursive script, Mi Fei has made great pioneering achievements. His running script is jumping, calm and happy; His cursive script is fierce and unrestrained. His representative works include Tiaoxi Poetry Collection, Shu Su Tie, Fiona Fang Anji, Ma Tiancai and so on.

Fourth, Cai Xiang (10 12- 1067) Cai Xiang's fonts are still restricted by the ancients, but there are also innovations. His calligraphy works and poems are beautiful. His calligraphy is vigorous and dignified, simple and beautiful, and has its own style, including the Complete Works of Cai Zhonghui Gong. There are many kinds of ink handed down by Cai Xiang, including Poems on Books, Xie Ci's poems, New Poems, Burning in the Suburb, Meng Hui and so on. There are inscriptions on Wan 'anqiao, Zhou Jintang and Lingyuan Cave in regular script, such as forgetting to return to the stone and crossing the rock. Cai Xiang is famous for supervising the production of Xiaolongtuan tea and writing tea notes.
