There are several calligraphy works by Mr. Shi Xiuhai (1979). I don't know what collection value it has.

Shi Xiuhai (1905- 1986), formerly known as Shi Hongmian, is also known as "Sandhill Savage" and "Yulin Zhu Xuan". Guangzong County, Xingtai City, Hebei Province, is in charge of villagers. When I was young, I loved calligraphy very much. I often use muddy water as ink to copy on benches and roofs. From 65438 to 0933, he went to Beiping Art College and studied under Sankong and Wang Xuexi calligraphy theory. 1934 Dr. Liu Bannong from Peking University Institute of Literature and History recruited a writer, and Xiu Hai ranked first among dozens of applicants and was hired as a temporary employee. With the permission of the school, he studied China philology with Professor Shen Jianshi and had classes every Saturday. 1937 returned to his hometown for education until he retired. The calligraphy is profound and the book is full of charm. Charming, beautiful but not flattering, beautiful but not vulgar, omnipotent in the seal of real cursive script. Friends and relatives compete for the treasures of their book artists, and book seekers will not refuse. There are many plaques in houses, shops and institutions in southern Hebei. 1984 was admitted to Hebei Calligraphers Association and member of Beijing Old Calligraphers Association. There is an anthology of Shi Xiuhai's calligraphy works.

Mr. Wang has passed away and belongs to a modern calligrapher. I don't make public all my life, and I don't make money by painting and calligraphy, so there are few works circulating and selling in the world. With his calligraphy skills, his works are collectible, but the value-added will not be too fast. Personal views are for reference only.
