According to the oral tradition of predecessors and the memories of many people such as Sun Zhian, the Great Compassion Building is a forest of steles, which was built by Emperor Guangxu in recognition of the achievements of Sun Shuzhi, Sun Qi 'ang, Sun Zongyuan and others. The stone tablet stands tall, and the dragon is carved on the top of the tablet, which is called "leading turtle". The first monument is carved with two dragons playing with pearls, decorated with three layers of carved flowers, which are ingenious, and copper bells are hung at the four corners of the eaves of the monument. Including inscriptions, were carved by the famous sculptor Meng Zhaoming at that time. Exquisite craftsmanship and noble specifications (such specifications must be given by the emperor) are amazing.
The whole forest of steles has four steles, 16 steles. Counting from east to west, the first building is the stele building in Sun Bin, with three steles and smaller ones. One of the inscriptions on the stone tablet was written by Zeng Guofan, and another was written by Niu Xuan. The second is Sun Qin 'ang Stone Monument Building, with five stone monuments and the highest specifications. On the stone pillar in front of the monument, there are half pairs of cymbals, cymbals and cymbals. The inscription on the middle stone tablet was written by Emperor Guangxu and Weng Tonghe. The third is Sun Qin Huang Bei Building, which has five stone pillars, and animals such as stone lions are carved on the front stone pillars. The fourth is Sun Zongyuan stele building, which has three steles, smaller than Ang and Huang stele building and larger than Sun Zongyuan stele building. The inscription on one of the stone tablets was written by Xu Shichang. There are inscriptions by celebrities and officials such as Mao Yunxi, Yang and Zhao Dongkai on the stone tablets of the Four Monuments. The inscription records their main official positions and life stories. Before the Cultural Revolution, many calligraphy lovers came to rubbings and copy.
