Cloisonne, one of the famous special metal handicrafts in China, reached its peak in the Jingtai period of the Ming Dynasty, and the handicrafts produced were the most exquisite and famous, so later people called this porcelain "Cloisonne".
Cloisonne, whose proper name is "copper tire-twisted enamel", and its common name is "Falan", also known as "inlaid enamel", is a kind of porcelain ware made by welding various patterns with soft flat copper wire on a copper tire, and then filling the colored glaze with enamel in the patterns. Because it was popular in Jingtai period of Ming Dynasty, its production technology was mature, and the enamel glaze used was mostly blue, so it was named "Jingtai Blue".
On December 1st, 217, the English Translation and Writing Standard for Public Service was officially implemented, which stipulated that the English name of Cloisonne was Cloisonne.
folklore
according to folklore, in the early years of the Yuan Dynasty, the palace caught fire, and the golden hall and all the treasures were burned to ashes. But in the ruins, there is a colorful and glittering Aquarius. Surprised, the ministers dedicated it to the emperor, saying it was a gift from heaven. The emperor couldn't put it down when he got it, and immediately handed down an imperial edict to mobilize all skilled craftsmen in the capital to copy it in March, otherwise, all of them would be beheaded.
imperial edict, are you busy with nine cloisonne in Beijing? Artisans of 981 workshops. Everyone is puzzled and can't understand this god-given craft.
In the end, I had to turn to Li Qiaoshou, the first craftsman in Beijing. It is said that he is a descendant of Nuwa, and he was praised as Li Qiaoshou because of his skillful craftsmanship. Soon, "Skillful Li" said that Nu Wa Niangniang was dressed in a chardonnay and stood on auspicious clouds to give her a dream cloud: "Aquarius shines like a flower, and the flowers are planted by skillful hands. No hyacinth flowers can bloom, no butterflies can come without gossip, and no water can grind the stone. How can we stay in spring?" "Skillful Li" understood this dream. It turned out that the jewels, gold and silver in the palace were melted together to form this bottle.
It was decreed that no matter how many treasure bottles were made by "Qiaotiangong", they all belonged to the palace, because this kind of treasure was burned by a big fire in the palace, so people called it "Qibao Burning". Because ordinary people are not qualified to own "Qibao Shao", this art has become a court art. During the Jingtai period of the Ming Dynasty, the technological level reached its peak. Because most of the products are mainly made in Kong Quelan, people call this handicraft cloisonne. This title has been used ever since.
nowadays, cloisonne is not something that only the emperor deserves. However, because of its exquisiteness, it is known as "one cloisonne and ten official kiln wares". China Cloisonne won the first prize at the World Expo in St Louis in 194. Nowadays, cloisonne is famous all over the world and is loved and praised by people all over the world.
