Calligraphy Sun Xiaoguo

? For thousands of years, eastern and western cultures have never stopped exploring themselves. In the west, we know that there is a Delphi temple in Athens to pay homage to Apollo, the sun god. For two thousand years, it stood quietly on the outskirts of Athens. On its broken and mottled stone pillars, the world-famous sentence was engraved: "People, know yourself!" "Since then, the glorious philosophical course of ancient Greece has been ignited.

? In the East, no matter the spirit of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism, it is inseparable from an important ideological core, which we call-seeing nature clearly, that is, seeing one's own heart and understanding one's own nature. However, whether we know ourselves or have a clear head, human beings are always curious about this mysterious self and this mysterious world.

? Today I'm going to tell you about the views of eastern and western philosophy on knowing yourself and the world, and how to find yourself in this vast world.

? Know yourself, this sentence seems to be completely put forward by the western culture of ancient Greek philosophy, but it is actually China's traditional culture and oriental thought, including Confucianism, aristocratic families and Taoism. In a word, its mind is sober.

? See your heart clearly, see your temperament clearly. Only when we know our own mind clearly can we cultivate our mind on the basis of our own knowledge and self-understanding. If you cultivate your mind, you can give yourself a way to deal with it at the critical moment. It can also arouse people when others need it. Therefore, oriental culture and oriental thought focus on seeking inward in various ways. I see who I am and learn from my own mind. Then on the basis of this mirror, cultivate your mind and cross the river by yourself. While helping yourself, try your best to help others.

? Some people think that he certainly knows his temperament, and impatient people will be more anxious when they encounter things; A grumpy person will be five minutes late for class, and he will think that since he is late, he will be even later. We seem to know our hearts very well, but we may not!

? Tell a story about Su Dongpo and a monk. The talented Su Dongpo learned a lot. His good friend is a monk, and his name is Fo Yin. Su Dongpo was particularly embarrassed when he was outside, because he was better at poetry and calligraphy, but when he was with Fo Yin, he often lost a fight with him. Su Dongpo was very angry and unwilling. As a good student, it is difficult to be content with the status quo, so you must find opportunities to get everything back.

? One day in March in the spring, the breeze was blowing gently, and two people were sitting in a pavilion near the West Lake making a pot of Longjing tea. The two men looked at each other and said nothing. Don't think that not talking means not communicating. In China culture, there is a way of speaking that only high-level people can have. This way is called speaking clearly. Clear water means no fish. Talking clearly means not talking and having a pair of eyes. The same is true of duels between masters. Do you still need to call? No need, a pair of eyes, your energy, your energy has repelled me, maybe there is a shock wave in your eyes, and a pair of experts will know that you are not your opponent.

? Su Dongpo and Fo Yin are sitting on the edge of the West Lake, drinking Longjing tea and making eyes at each other. At this time, Fo Yin felt very comfortable, because it was very hot outside, he drank tea and his stomach was hot. The whole person was very comfortable and began to sit up on the futon. When he sat up, steam curled up from his head. Then Su Dongpo was happy and knew it. He said, "Well, Fo Yin and Fo Yin, what do you think I look like sitting here?" Everyone knows that Su Dongpo has a beard, a big belly and a lot of money, so Fo Yin smiled and said to him, "Brother Dongpo, I think you look like a Buddha."

? One-sided politeness cannot last. Su Dongpo asked Fo Yin, but Fo Yin didn't ask? Then Fo Yin said, "Ah, Brother Dongpo, what do you think I look like sitting here?" Then everyone knows that he meditates on all fours and his head is steaming. Su Dongpo said, "I think you look like a lump of cow dung." Then Fo Yin laughed it off.

? On that day, Su Dongpo was in a particularly good mood, paunchy and trotting to tell everyone, and then everyone praised him. As a result, when Su Dongpo came home, he met another genius in his family-Su Xiaomei. The Su family didn't think too much. He was very happy to see Su Xiaomei and told her the story. He said I was a Buddha, and I said he was a cow shit. Look, I won! Hearing this, Su Xiaomei knocked on the table and poked his stomach. "Oh, I think you lost."

? Su Dongpo was puzzled. "He said I was a Buddha, and I said he was a piece of cow dung. How could I lose? Tell me! " Su Xiaomei said: "Fo Yin has a Buddha in his heart and can be seen everywhere. What about you? How to look at the world and what kind of world you see, the eyes determine the eyes. "

? Fo Yin is a Buddha in his heart, and he looks at the world with Buddha's eyes. Everywhere he sees, there are buddhas. Su Dongpo's heart is shit. He looks at the world with dogs and sees shit everywhere. What about you? With what eyes do you see the world and what kind of world do you see? We often talk about the world outlook in education. What is the world view? That's the sentence. What kind of eyes you use to see the world actually proves what kind of mind you have. If you are broad-minded, the world you see is boundless; If you are narrow-minded and full of jealousy and hatred, the world you see is also narrow. Mood determines vision. When you are in a good mood, your horizons will be higher. If you live too low, the world you see will not be too beautiful.

? So what kind of eyes to see the world, what kind of world to see. What determines your eyes? It's up to you. So be clear-headed and see nature clearly. Fo Yin looked at the world from the perspective of Buddha, with Buddha in his heart, Buddha in his eyes and Buddha everywhere he saw. What about you? What is the world you see? The world you see is actually a mirror, which reflects what your heart is like and what kind of heart you have. Don't think you know yourself well. If everyone says that he knows himself well, then China's philosophy can't develop at all, and the oriental culture can't be so respected. Therefore, it is particularly important to be clear-headed and self-aware. So Apollo will say on this stone pillar: "Man, know yourself!" "

? Not only the eastern culture, but also the whole eastern and western ideological circles can't escape three universal ultimate questions: "Who am I? Where did it come from? Where will you go? " The only difference between the East and the West lies in Western ideas. What it wants to know is: "What kind of world do I live in?" Oriental thought wants to be clear: "What kind of person am I living in such a world?" This is their different angles and directions, but all roads lead to the same goal. Everyone's life is actually looking for themselves, and then find their place in this vast world.

? Who am I? If I find that I am an apple, then my life's mission is to make me as healthy, rich, fat and sweet as possible. If you find that I am a lemon in the crowd, your direction is not to make yourself as sweet as an apple, but the more sour the better. So only by figuring out who you are can you figure out what you want? So that you can know where you are going. Only in this way can you know what to do with your life. This is why Socrates is called the most wise man in ancient Greece. In fact, he knows no more than others. He just knows something that others don't know, and that's what he said: "All I know is my ignorance." Socrates may not know much about astronomy and geography. Socrates is different from ordinary people only because he has self-knowledge. He is clear-headed and sees sex.

? Many times, if someone in your daily life says, "I only know that I am ignorant." You think this man is pretending to be modest again. But you know, Socrates said that what I know is that I am ignorant, which is self-deprecating, but it is also true. There will be scholars, barristers, justices and adults among you in the future, but even then, you are still ignorant, aren't you? A threesome requires a teacher. I know philosophy, but I don't know physics. When I was a child, I was startled every time I got up. Anyway, all I know is that I am ignorant. This is not modesty, it is a fact. Socrates said this not to show modesty, but to respect the truth. So he was called the smartest man in ancient Greece.

? Two days ago, I was in the office with my colleagues. I asked him a question that he found difficult to answer. I said please rank by IQ, Socrates, Laozi, Gautama, Zhuangzi, Confucius and Jesus. My colleague was very shy there, and later found out that I said I would write the highest IQ of these people on my palm and see if heroes think alike. Later, he wrote it down, and I wrote it down, too, a pair, old! At that time, we all thought that among these people, Laozi had the highest IQ.

? Of course, different opinions are allowed. All I know is that I am ignorant. Maybe I'm really wrong, but I always think that Laozi's IQ is far above Socrates. The most interesting thing is that among this group of people, we also rated one with the lowest score. Remove a highest score, remove a lowest score, and then who is the lowest score? Sue! Sorry, Socrates.

? Laozi, whose wisdom is far above Socrates, said this sentence: "He who knows others is wise, and he who knows himself is clear." Everyone knows this sentence, and you often love to say, be yourself, be yourself, be yourself! How touching this sentence is. But who do you want to be when you don't know yourself? Only by figuring out who you are can you try to be yourself. Only when you find out who you are will you know where I will go, won't you?

? So, what do you want to do with your life? You think everything in the world, all knowledge is a road to self-knowledge. You will go to America, England and France, and you will travel around the world just to find myself. So there is only one thing left in the world, and everything is being done, that is, knowing who I am and trying to be who I am. Know who I am and try to be myself. Then one day, someone asked, who are you? Your answer is that I am me. Is it?

? People will try to find themselves all their lives, then try to be me, and then one day, you will keep getting closer to this goal, that is, I am me. When a person dares to say that I am me, you are already a god, and you become an old man, a Zhuang man, a Confucius and a Mencius, because I am me. We also have the word God in China. We China are not monosyllabic words, God is spirit, and Ming is a bright car. When you live as the spirit of Ming Che, you regard it as a god, comparable to a god.

? So many times, there will be many questions, but the answer is one, how to be a noble person and how to be yourself? Know yourself first. You see an old Chinese saying: "A gentleman knows himself." When you have self-knowledge, you are a noble person. Noble is not that simple, but noble is not as abstract and difficult as you think.

? Noble people are self-aware, and nobleness is a compliment to those who know themselves. As the fairy tale "The Little Prince" said, the really important things in life are invisible to our eyes, and we can only look for them with our hearts. Our understanding of the world and ourselves also requires us to use these inner eyes to discover and gain insight. May each of us, with the development of life, get to know ourselves more and more, become ourselves more and more, and become more and more noble spiritually with such self-knowledge.
