The origin of calligraphy
First of all, the origin of Chinese characters played the first sound of China's calligraphy. China's calligraphy is a unique art with Chinese characters as the carrier. Without Chinese characters, there would be no art of calligraphy. The earliest materials of ancient Chinese characters in China are recognized by the academic circles as Oracle Bone Inscriptions and Jinwen in the middle and late Shang Dynasty. Calligraphy art was born at the same time as Oracle Bone Inscriptions and Jinwen. 1996, archaeologists found a batch of Oracle Bone Inscriptions films in hengtai county, shanfo, which were confirmed to be located between 3500 and 3700 years ago. Based on this, we can speculate that China's calligraphy has a history of at least 3500 years. In Oracle Bone Inscriptions, bronze inscriptions and other historical relics, we find that these earliest Chinese characters have already possessed the basic elements of the formal beauty of calligraphy, such as the beauty of strokes describing writing, the beauty of symmetry and variation of single characters, the beauty of composition and arrangement between words, the beauty of style formed by many factors such as writing, description and casting. From the Western Zhou Dynasty to the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, due to the different written materials, it presented a colorful artistic style. Characters are gradually created and perfected by people in long-term social practice, and the connotation of calligraphy art is also enriched by the changes of characters. Therefore, the art of calligraphy is formed with the development of characters.
