The legend of "boiled peony"

In ancient times, on the road 200 miles southeast of Luoyang, there was a state called Ruzhou, and there was a small town called Miaoxia in the west of the state. Surrounded by mountains, the scenery is pleasant, and there is a wonderful custom: once young men and women are engaged, the woman must personally send a purse embroidered with Yuanyang to the man, which goes without saying. If it is decided to get married early, it must be embroidered by the wife's sister-in-law or the elder sister who has passed the door in the neighborhood as a lifelong token. There lived a beautiful girl named Jade Girl in the town. A jade girl is eighteen. Ingenuity, natural intelligence, exquisite embroidery and weaving skills, especially the various flower patterns on embroidered purses, which often cause bees and butterflies to fall on them, showing the depth of kung fu. Such a good girl, the suitors naturally broke the threshold, but they were all politely declined by the girl's family. It turned out that the girl had her own man and the family acquiesced. It's a pity that the young man has been exiled to the Great Wall for two years, with no news and no wallet. Jade girl looks forward to it every day, thinks about it every night, and misses it hard, so she embroiders a purse every month to talk about her worries and hangs it on the peony branches in front of the window. Over time, the purse forms a string and becomes what people call "purse peony".

The legend of Jin Mudan.

By the Erhai Lake in Dali, Yunnan, there is a beautiful mountain named Diancang Mountain. In this deep mountain, there is a world-famous Jin Mudan. It is not only golden in color, but also looks like an ingot, which is very attractive. According to the local Bai brothers, it was exchanged for gold. Here is a touching story. At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, bandits often appeared in the mountains. A local Bai old man makes a living by selling firewood. One day, he went into the mountains to cut wood and was kidnapped by bandits. He let the wind out. Within three days, his family is limited to bring 120 gold into the mountain to redeem him. After the deadline, it will be difficult to protect his life. The old man's only daughter, A Qing, was very sad after hearing the news. The family is poor, where is the gold and silver? She was so clever that she had an idea on second thought. On the third day, she went up the mountain alone with a bag of golden stones and a sword. When the bandits saw that it was a beautiful young weak woman, their eyes were straight. How can they be prepared? She threw the golden stone on the ground and the robbers rushed to grab it. She took the opportunity to kill the bandit leader with a sword, and the others scattered. A Qing rescued his father, and the two of them went down the mountain. Later, where she threw the "gold", Jin Mudan grew up.

One spring day, around Grain Rain, peonies were competing to open, attracting good men and women from all directions to worship Buddha and watch flowers in the mountains, in order to be rich, auspicious and healthy. In the afternoon, one hand was painting peony in the yard when he heard something in front of the yard. Looking up, there are several people dressed by Zhuang Ding in the distance, surrounded by a rich "fat man". Walk this way. On closer inspection, it turned out to be the famous local bully "Darren Wang", who has been running rampant in the village, bullying the people and doing evil. "Darren Wang" went to Yishou, saw his excellent painting and was eager to get it, so he instigated Zhuang Ding to ask for it. What kind of personality is she? How can she refuse to associate with "Wang Daqian" until now? "Darren Wang" became angry from embarrassment and forced him to hand over a painting. Without showing weakness, he tore up the painting, put the brush in the inkstone and left angrily. "Wang Daqian" saw the onlookers angry and helpless, so he had to leave angrily. Who knows, the ink splashed by the inkstone just landed on the petals of several peony flowers nearby, and then flowed along the petals to the base of the petals and condensed into purple spots. In the future, when people come here every year, they can clearly see the purple spots on the flowers, so they are called "purple peony".

The general dismounted, looked around and stuck the dead branches of the whip in the ground so that his troops could camp here. . . . . . The next spring, the dead branches planted in the ground actually took out buds and showed new leaves. After Grain Rain, they magically produced bright and beautiful flowers. When the locals heard about it, they came from Fiona Fang to enjoy flowers and burn incense. It was identified as a peony by a drug farmer. People are scrambling to tell each other: "There is hope in the Great Song Dynasty, and there is hope in the Great Song Dynasty." And this kind of peony is called "dead branch peony". You have to study in thousands of books to feel the god of heaven and earth." So he copied books and studied papers all day. But the family is poor and the paper is too expensive, so we have to copy articles on the walls and door panels. One day he got bored in his room and went to play in the backyard. I was surprised to see that the peony flowers in the backyard that had not blossomed for many years were full of flowers, so I suddenly came into the room on a whim, took a pen and an inkstone, copied the article on the peony petals and changed the paper into flowers.
