The paintings of ladies painted by Emperor Huizong of the Song Dynasty date back to about a thousand years ago.
Song Huizong was born in 1082 and died in 1135. He was not good at governing the country, but he was universally recognized as an emperor with high artistic attainments. He had deep attainments in music, chess, calligraphy and painting, and created calligraphy with thin gold calligraphy. The works and the painting "Auspicious Crane Picture" are both national treasures and handed down from generation to generation.
