Brief introduction of Zhao Songquan

Zhao Songquan (19 14—20 12), a famous painter in China, is good at flowers and birds, landscapes and industrial calligraphy. Originally from Lishui, Jiangsu; 1934 graduated from Suzhou Academy of Fine Arts. His painting style was innovated by Xu Wei, Ren Bonian and Wu Changshuo. For more than 80 years, he has studied the creation of flower-and-bird paintings and achieved fruitful results. His works have been exhibited in more than 20 countries or regions such as the United States, France, Italy and Germany. He was invited by the United States, Japan, South Korea and the Philippines to give lectures and was employed as an art professor at St. John's University in the United States. His paintings were given as gifts to celebrities such as Reagan, Marcos and park chung-hee.
