Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi is a labiatae plant of Rubiaceae. Multi-branched, creeping or climbing herbs, born on slopes, wilderness, ditches, beaches, fields, forest margins and grasslands at an altitude of 20-4600 meters. There are about 300 species distributed in wet woodlands, swamps, river banks and coasts all over the world.
It is a malignant weed in summer-ripe dry land, and also a Chinese herbal medicine with antihypertensive and anticancer effects.

This product, also known as saw grass and blood-activating grass, belongs to Rubiaceae and belongs to dicotyledonous plants. Its young shoots can be used as vegetables, and it is said that pig food makes it sick, hence the name "pig gizzard".
