At the end of 1995, he was transferred to Art Newspaper as the editor-in-chief for 1 years (the first three years were deputy editor-in-chief), during which he studied in the postgraduate class of Calligraphy Department of China Academy of Fine Arts, studied under Professor Wang Dongling, and began to devote himself to studying calligraphy theory and calligraphy creation. He has successively published a collection of novels blue mist, a collection of essays Dongbai Ruin, a collection of calligraphy and painting reviews Scholar's Calligraphy, a famous scholar's topic Zhai, Pingxiantang Book Theory, Pingxiantang Painting Theory and so on. Among them, ten diseases of calligraphy, Ping Xian Tang Shu Xue Zui Hua and other calligraphy theories have caused great repercussions in the calligraphy circle.
Currently, he is the deputy curator of Zhejiang Art Museum and a national first-class artist. He used to be the editor-in-chief of Art Newspaper and has been engaged in theoretical research and creation of calligraphy and painting for a long time. Published academic works on calligraphy and painting include: Scholar's Calligraphy, Famous Artists' Topic Zhai, Pingxiantang Book Theory, Pingxiantang Painting Theory, Centennial Painting Circle, 3 Years of Contemporary Art in China (1978-28), School of Painting on the Sea, and "Nan Si Bei Zhang: A Topic Related to Calligraphy" (with Zhang He is a columnist of many professional media and comprehensive media such as Calligraphy Newspaper, Calligraphy, Youth Calligraphy, Guangming Daily, Oriental Morning Post Art Review, etc., and has opened up personal columns such as "Talking with Lao Si", "Writing in the Past", "Calligraphy by Scholars", "Elegant Taste" and "Flowers in Hanyuan".
