Dong Yi calligrapher Dong Yi, a native of Jinan, teaches in Sichuan. He was a famous painter in the middle and late Qing Dynasty. Changzhou School (also known as Classics School or School), Yanghu School, Changzhou Ci School, Changzhou Painting School (also known as Piling School, Wujin School or Yunpai School) and Medical School were formed. With their unique academic or artistic theories and achievements, they have made great contributions to the history of thought, culture and medicine in China. Zhuangzun, the originator of Changzhou School, focused on the subtle meaning of Confucian classics, sought the way for saints to save the world and govern the country, and directly combined Confucian classics with real politics, which greatly revitalized Confucian classics. His successors, Zhuang Shuzu (Zhuang Cun and his nephew), Liu (Zhuang Cun and his nephew), Song Xiangfeng (Zhuang Cun and his nephew), Gong Zizhen and Wei Yuan, took over the banner of "applying what they have learned" and turned Confucian classics into theoretical weapons advocating political reform.

Compared with Tongcheng school literature, Yanghu school literature emphasizes "being suitable for the world" and "being useful" in creation theory, advocates and practices the new concept of learning and cultivating literature, publicizes personality and talent, realizes the essential difference and breakthrough between Tongcheng school's ancient prose connotation and literary concept, and presents a new artistic style and creative style.

Changzhou school of ci poetry is the peak of the mainstream of modern ci poetry. Zhang Huiyan constructed a clear theoretical framework. Later, Zhou Ji and Dong Yi's theory of "sustenance", Tan Xian's theory of "ci style" and Chen Tingzhuo's theory of "depression", and poets such as Zhu Jiang Village all changed, developed and improved on the basis of Zhang Huiyan. The theory of Changzhou Ci School is the latest in China's traditional literary criticism, but it has the most profound and influential traditional ideas.

The unity of poetry, calligraphy and painting is a unique artistic feature of China's painting, which has been explored by painters in past dynasties, but the outstanding representative of which is Changzhou Yunnan Tian, who founded Changzhou School of Painting. This outstanding painter, poet and calligrapher has enriched and deepened the pictures and enjoyed the reputation of "Three Wonders in the South". The incense of Yunjia has a long history. His disciples are Ma Yuanyu, Fan Tingzhen, Zhang Qian and Dong Yu, and his disciples are Jiang Tingxi, Zou Yigui and Qian Weicheng. His successors in Changzhou are Wei Qiao, Guan Ganzhen, Bi Han, Tang Yifen, Zuo Xixuan and Huang Shanshou, and his descendants are Yun and Li Qingzhao.
