The sixth teaching building is located in the northwest of the main building in Tsinghua University, which is a comprehensive teaching and research facility. The design takes the best teaching and scientific research units as the core, improves the public service space and creates the communication space; All functional rooms are arranged in a single corridor, with an atrium in the middle, and its top side window automatically opens, which has good natural lighting and ventilation.
The architectural style is simple and elegant, which embodies the inherent cultural characteristics of campus architecture. Liu Jiao won the "Top Ten Design Scheme Award" and "Excellent Design Scheme Award for Public Buildings" in the 10th Capital Planning and Architectural Design Report Exhibition.
Second, the second school gate.
The earliest main school gate in Tsinghua is a classical and elegant arched building with three arches with blue bricks and white columns. On the lintel, there are three characters "Tsinghua Campus" inscribed by Na Tong, a great scholar in the late Qing Dynasty. After the expansion of the campus, there is a new school gate. This earliest school gate is called the "Second School Gate". It has always been one of the landmark buildings in Tsinghua, and Tsinghua in Hsinchu is also the same architectural model.
As a symbol of Tsinghua, the Second Gate witnessed the rapid development and leap of Tsinghua. It goes through spring, summer, autumn and winter, silently greeting and giving it to every Tsinghua people. It is not only a distinctive symbol of Tsinghua campus, but also a symbol of Tsinghua people's long-term hard work and pragmatic character. It was destroyed and then rebuilt.
Third, self-cleaning pavilion.
Tsinghua University Ziqing Pavilion, formerly known as Yidong Pavilion, is located on the dirt mountain outside the east wall of I-shaped hall. Later, in memory of Mr. Zhu Ziqing, it was renamed "Ziqingge". The "Ziqingge" plaque was inscribed by a famous contemporary calligrapher, former president of Tsinghua University Calligraphy Association and deputy director of Longhu Art Museum in Mei Qing, Beijing.
Behind the I-shaped hall in Tsinghua University is "Shui Mu Tsinghua", and the platform behind the hall is facing the pool. The water is wide and the lotus blooms every summer. There is a stone tablet next to Ziqingge. The inscription reads: "Zhu Ziqing, a native of Donghai, Jiangsu Province, was a professor of Chinese Department, a famous scholar and essayist before his death.
