Jin Song traces history.
Chengdu Shu brocade has been quite prosperous since the Han Dynasty. In the early years of the Western Han Dynasty, silk weavers in Chengdu invented brocade, which is a colorful jacquard fabric woven with silk of various colors. In the Han Dynasty, Chengdu had a special Jin official and a Jin official city to jointly manage workshops and craftsmen. Therefore, Chengdu is named Jincheng, Jinguancheng and Jinzhuo River, also known as Jinjiang. In the Tang Dynasty, Shu brocade industry was more prosperous, and raw silk from Nanchong and Baoningfu (Langzhong) flooded into Chengdu. Shu brocade made of raw silk from these areas is exquisite in texture, rich in layers, rich in colors and exquisite in design, especially the group brocade and the red lion and phoenix brocade. The colorful silk vest worn by Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty is regarded as a "foreign body", while the single-filament long skirt worn by Princess Anle when she got married is "like a cloud, like a sunrise". There are also many pieces of Shu brocade in Tang Dynasty in Masakura Yard and Horyuji, such as "Shujiang Banner" and "Shujiang Prince's Imperial Weaving Umbrella". Moreover, due to Emperor Taizong's admiration for Wang Xizhi's calligraphy, Jin Shu was the first to write and weave the Preface to Lanting, which was sent to the palace as a "foreign body". "Lingyang Tribute" designed by Sichuan Dou has been popular for a hundred years since the early Tang Dynasty. In the Northern Song Dynasty, Chengdu Transportation Department set up A Jin Yuan here, specializing in the production of tributes such as Eight Answers, Official Patents, Courtiers' Rewards and Guijin. According to the regulations of the royal family in Song Dynasty, "courtiers' robes and brocade" were presented to civil and military officials every year according to their positions, with customized patterns, which were divided into Mao Cui, Yi Yan, Yunyan, Cao Rui, Lion, Practicing Magpie and Bao Zhao (with big flowers and Chinese flowers). By the Southern Song Dynasty, Chengdu Jinyuan also produced all kinds of fine brocade and various brocade quilts, with more complex and gorgeous colors. These silk brocade gradually spread to the whole country through commerce and trade, and became a well-known traditional variety. Song brocade and Shu brocade are different in pattern style, weave structure and weaving technology. It uses weft twill to show the main pattern, and warp twill as the base pattern or a small amount of foil flowers. Its brocade is uniform, soft and simple, and is mostly used for mounting.
