Meng, male, from Xincheng County, Hebei Province. Born in February, 1944, graduated from university with a patent. 1978 joined Beijing Calligraphy Research Association, 1983 joined Beijing Calligraphers Association and 1986 joined China Calligraphers Association. He used to be Secretary-General of Beijing Calligraphers Association (the third session), executive deputy editor-in-chief of Beijing Calligraphy Newspaper and art judge. Consultant of Beijing Calligraphers Association, director of China Calligraphers Association (4th), director of Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and executive deputy secretary general of China International Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Association. Mr. Meng studied calligraphy since childhood, and insisted on self-study for a long time. He devoted himself to various calligraphy masters' posts, especially Sun, Wang Xizhi, Mi Fei, Huang Shangu and so on. He learned from others and made progress in his skills. His works have profound foundation, vivid charm and unique style. Participated in calligraphy exhibitions at home and abroad for many times and won awards. He has participated in many major exhibitions at home and abroad, such as the National Invitation Exhibition of Calligraphy Masters, the calligraphy exhibitions of self-written poems between China and Japan, the international calligraphy exchange exhibition, the China-Japan-Korea calligraphy exchange exhibition, etc. held in Hainan, Guangdong, Xinjiang and Ningxia 150 times. His works have been compiled into nearly 100 collections of calligraphy works or monographs, such as 300 Four-body Calligraphy Works of Tang Poetry, Collection of Contemporary Calligraphers' Works, Hundred Books of Tang and Song Poetry, and Selected Works of the Most Influential Calligraphers in China in the New Century. It is collected by dozens of museums, art galleries, memorial halls and dozens of forest of steles at home and abroad. . Biographies have been included in China Dictionary of Ancient and Modern Calligraphers, Biography of China Writers and Artists, Famous Calligraphers in Beijing and Who's Who in the World. He has visited Japan and Singapore for many times to exchange calligraphy art, which has made certain contributions to promoting the development of calligraphy art in China.
