Liu Zhilan: Born in 1917, a native of Beijing. He was very active during the December 9th Movement and was the captain of the "Democracy First" of the Girls' High School Affiliated to Beijing Normal University. After arriving in Yan'an, she worked in the Women's Committee of the Northern Bureau of the Communist Party of China and served as an instructor at the Northern Shaanxi Public School branch. On April 16, 1939, he married Zuo Quan in the North Village of Lucheng, the headquarters of the Eighth Route Army. One year after their marriage, Zuo Quan, 35, gave birth to a daughter, Zuo Taibei. Worked in Yan'an Nursery School in 1940. She was only 25 years old in 1942. After marrying Zuo Quan, she only got together for more than a year before breaking up. She was heartbroken at the time, but with Commander-in-Chief Zhu's repeated comfort and encouragement, she endured her grief and wrote an article in Yan'an's "Liberation Daily" in memory of Zuo Quan. After getting over the sad time, she took the initiative to stay away from the circle of her husband during his lifetime and worked hard on her own ability. Six years after Zuo Quan's death, 31-year-old Liu Zhilan reorganized her family, but Zuo Quan will always be the first in her heart. After Zuo Quan died, she learned that her husband had been accused of being a "Trotskyist" and had been fighting for more than 10 years. After she ran around and wrote many letters, the central government finally vindicated Zuo Quan for being persecuted by Wang Ming's line, and canceled the "party probation" punishment for comrade Zuo Quan. This also shows that Zuo Quan did not love Liu Zhilan wrongly back then. If he had lived, Liu Zhilan would not only be his good partner in life, but also his good political comrade. Died in 1992.
Mentioning his mother Liu Zhilan, Zuo Taibei felt very proud: "My mother and Peng Dehuai's wife Pu Anxiu were classmates and friends of the Girls' High School Affiliated to Beijing Normal University. My mother was very active during the 'December 9th' Movement and was a member of the Beijing Normal University." She was the captain of the 'Min Xian' of the Girls' High School Affiliated to the National Normal University. Many old comrades still remember her vividly in her youth." It is said that Liu Zhilan was recognized as "the number one beauty among the leaders' wives." Liu Zhilan grew up in Beijing. She and her six sisters are all as beautiful as flowers and are known as the Seven Fairies. She has a slim figure, white skin, and a clear voice when she speaks. Not only that, she is well-read, has good literary talent, and can write thousands of words; she is also good at calligraphy, and many classmates of the Girls' High School Affiliated to Beijing Normal University used her calligraphy as calligraphy. At that time, Liu Zhilan was loved by many people of the opposite sex. After arriving in Yan'an, Liu Zhilan, Pu Anxiu, and Ye Qun were called the "three beauties" of Yan'an.
