The Iron Man Memorial Hall is located at No.8 Jiefang Second Street, Daqing City. It was newly built on the former site of 1989 "Hero Story Exhibition Room of Tiewang Man Jinxi". The museum covers a total area of 54,000 square meters, including 30,000 square meters of green space and a main building area of 1.240 square meters. On the square platform in front of the main hall, between two large lawns, stands a tall iron Wang Man statue with a brake handle in hand. Bypassing the statue and entering the exhibition hall, three exhibition halls were opened indoors, and more than 200 photos and 300 precious objects were exhibited, showing the main experience of the Iron Man, his heroic achievements in the Daqing oil battle and the situation of Daqing people learning the Iron Man spirit for 35 years.
The museum was built in19701kloc-0/5 10 after the death of Comrade Wang Jinxi. At first, it was just a brick bungalow, about 500 square meters. At present, the scale is 1989, which is expanded on the basis of the original "Iron Man Deeds Exhibition Hall". It was completed and opened on the occasion of the 2 1 anniversary of the death of Iron Man.
Wang Jinxi was originally from Yumen, Gansu. 1949 entered Yumen oil mine, and 1959 was rated as a national model worker in September. 1960 March19 Wang Jinxi led the drilling team to leave Yumen for Sarthou to participate in the Daqing oil battle. As soon as he got off the train, he led the drilling team to unload the car at the railway station. After the rig arrived, but there was a lack of lifting equipment, he organized everyone to find a rig weighing 50 or 60 tons and unload it from the train, transport it to the well site, dig a dustpan-shaped trough on the flat ground, build a unloading platform, unload the rig from the car and set up the rig.
From installing the drilling rig to drilling the first well, he never left the battle scene for 7 days and 7 nights. When you are sleepy, you fall down on the rows of drill pipes and take a nap. When you are hungry, take a few cold steamed buns with you, and when you are thirsty, drink a few mouthfuls of cold water. On May 1 that year, when Wang Jinxi directed the workers to put down the derrick and prepare to drill the second well, his foot was pricked by the drill pipe and he fainted with pain. When the second well was drilled to a depth of 700 meters, the omen of blowout suddenly appeared. Barite and agitator were not prepared at the well site at that time. In order to prevent blowout, Wang Jinxi first jumped into the mud pool and stirred the mud with his body for more than two hours without mixing equipment. The blowout was avoided, but his whole body was soaked with living alkali. At that time, he said, "I would rather live less than 20 years than win a big oil field!" Park's words inspired at least one or two generations, and his fighting spirit touched the local people. An old lady said emotionally, "Captain Wang is really an iron man! From then on, "TieWang Man Jinxi" spread all over Daqing Oilfield, and later became a household name in China.
On the east side of the museum are inscriptions by party and state leaders and celebrities from all walks of life. Profound content, different styles of calligraphy and exquisite carving art will leave an unforgettable impression on you.
Daqing also has the only Iron Man Well listed in the China Dictionary of Places of Interest. There is a towering drilling tower on the west side of Tierenjing, which is a good place for tourists to take pictures. The trees in the Third Committee are lush in spring, summer and autumn, and the air is fresh. In winter, the towering drilling tower and the memorial hall wrapped in silver are even more solemn and unforgettable.
The memorial hall is not only a tourist attraction in Daqing, but also an important place for people to understand the war history of Daqing Petroleum Association and learn the iron man spirit. It has become one of the national 100 important patriotic education bases.
20 13 In May, the State Council (Guo Fa [20 13] 13) announced the Iron Man Comrade Wang Jinxi Memorial Hall as a national key cultural relics protection unit.
