"Four Great Masters in Early Tang Dynasty" refers to Ou Yangxun, Yu Shinan, Chu Suiliang and Xue Qi. The top three, some of them are also called "three outstanding figures in the early Tang Dynasty".
Ou Yangxun's Preface to the Lanting Pavilion is known as "the best copy in the world", but unfortunately the tablet was lost in the Five Dynasties War. Yu Shinan and Chu Suiliang's calligraphy obviously has the beauty of Wang Xizhi's calligraphy. Especially Chu Suiliang's Preface to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda.
