Sun Qi, also known as Jinzhi, was born in Dalian, Liaoning in 1948. He has been studying calligraphy since he was a child. He has been visiting the pond for more than fifty years. He has devoted himself to studying the inscriptions of various schools and learned from their strengths. His calligraphy skills have become increasingly mature. He has participated in and graduated from the training program of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, and is especially good at regular script, official script, running script and small regular script. His works have participated in many national, provincial and municipal calligraphy exhibitions and competitions, and won many awards. They have been included in the "Ink Collection of Contemporary Chinese Calligraphers and Painters", "The Dictionary of Famous Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Masters in the Golden Age", "National Collection of Outstanding Calligraphy and Art Works" and " Collection of Calligraphy and Painting Works for the Elderly in Long Live the Motherland, Calligraphy and Ink Celebration of the Birthday of the Motherland, and National Collection of Calligraphy and Painting Works to Celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Republic of China.
