Calligraphers nowadays rarely stand firm. The current calligraphers in China can be divided into three categories:
First, not many, not more than ten, Shen Peng, Zhang Xuguang, Wang Yong, etc. A person with real artistic connotation;
Second, Wang Houxiang, Long Kaisheng, Ceng Xiang, etc. It is estimated that there are dozens or hundreds. These people are very smart and hard-working. Over time, they will sink or rise-depending on how art is educated and reformed;
Third, cheap but fake. These people either lack artistic skills, or study hard but lack aura and talent, or scribble in a hurry, but they will show off the market. How much do they spend per square meter? In fact, many people cheat people who don't understand calligraphy. Their works are priceless and have no collection significance. They are just a pile of waste paper. -Don't be fooled by a bunch of so-called exhibitions winning prizes, participating in foreign exhibitions and being member directors. Never buy it, because you don't understand and are gullible.
Sorry, I can't say which category you belong to. You'd better find a knowledgeable person and ask what kind you belong to.
