Is China's calligraphy more inherited or more innovative?
I think we should not only inherit, but also innovate. The question now is not how to do it, but how to grasp this scale. Contemporary calligraphy is rampant, ugly books and calligraphy are everywhere now, and the scope of innovation has greatly exceeded the speed of the change of calligraphy art. When I communicated with many calligraphers, even famous calligraphers, everyone lamented that they had written too many fonts. If they really copied classics or faces, they really didn't dare to start. So I think calligraphers, especially friends who have just come into contact with calligraphy art, should first calm down and inherit the calligraphy art left by the ancients, because it is a real symbol, a symbol and a commanding height.
