Stone-carved calligraphy works appeared as early as the Shang Dynasty on the stone chimes and stone reeds, but those were only accidental depictions. There is no doubt that Shi Guwen should be the earliest for a large-scale work carefully written. From the stone drum, the inscription on the stone chime of Qin Gong Tomb, the cursing Chu Wen handed down from generation to generation, to the stone carvings of Mount Tai, Yishan and Huiji of Qin Shihuang, it shows that the stone carving calligraphy works originated in the State of Qin. Since then, it has been continuous for 2 years and has become the main form of engraved calligraphy.
