We have established cooperative relations with the Art Department of Southeast University and the Art College of Xiangming University in Korea, and established academic exchange relations with Montana State University, the Fine Arts College of Minzu University of China and the Art College of Sichuan University.
Nearly 800 students (excluding adult students and vocational school students) are divided into 13 cultural classes and 29 professional classes, covering art (Chinese painting, oil painting, printmaking), art design (graphic design, environmental design, fashion design, national folk art) and art teachers.

Guizhou's unique national cultural customs and traditional group activities, as well as its culture and life style, have been deeply touching the hearts of teachers and students of Guizhou People's College. The Academy of Fine Arts is rooted in Guizhou region and Guizhou folk art, and introduces folk art into professional teaching. In 2003, we initiated the establishment of folk art specialty in the whole country, offered Guizhou folk art elective courses in various professional directions, and included the arrangement of teachers and students to go to minority areas for artistic practice in the teaching plan. In the 17 national printmaking exhibition, the story of spring scenery created by students Lv Changqing and Hu Mingchao won the silver prize. In the 18 National Printmaking Exhibition, which ended in autumn this year, six of the selected 10 works in Guizhou were all former and school students.
