1, The Stone Statue:
On the north wall of Guyang Cave in Longmen Grottoes in the southern suburbs of Luoyang. In the 22nd year of Taihe (AD 498), Emperor Xiaowen of Wei (Justin) made a cave on September 14th. As a calligraphy art, its characters are especially the first treasure in the famous "Longmen Twenty Products". It rebelled against the weak calligraphy style of the Southern Dynasties, created a typical example of Fang Bi, a northern tablet school, and passed on its masculine beauty to future generations.
This tablet is as stable as Mount Tai, with more pens than Fang Bi. Some "dot" strokes and folding methods are sharp and sharp, so it is remarkable. Kang Youwei called Longmen Stone Carvings "magnificent, ambitious and disciplined in Fang Bi". Among the stone carvings of "Fang Bi Polar Gauge", this monument is Fang Bi's masterpiece, which can be described as the polar gauge in polar gauge. Therefore, Hu Bishan commented that "Fang Bi is heroic, and Yunbei Monument is the first".
2. Statues of cows:
The Longmen Grottoes in the southern suburbs of Luoyang are large in scale, with thousands of stone sculptures and inscriptions, all of which are Buddha statues donated by Buddhists. They worship the greatest advantages of praying and eliminating crime.
Guyang Cave, located at the southern end of Longmen Grottoes, was excavated in 493 AD. It is the cave with the earliest excavation, the longest duration, the richest Buddhist content and the highest calligraphy art in Longmen Grottoes, and it is also the cave with the most concentrated vows and statues of the royal family in the Northern Wei Dynasty.
3. Yuan epitaph:
The epitaph calligraphy of Yuan Dynasty is a masterpiece in the epitaph calligraphy of Northern Wei Dynasty. This chronicle is a calligraphy pen, which is used in both Chinese and English, and is prepared in a square, cool and clean, handsome and neat. The structure is generally low left and high right, dense, elegant and full of charm. It has both the flying beauty of calligraphy and the lush splendor of epigraphy.
Among many epitaphs, it looks rich and unique. However, because writing with a pen is mainly flattering, I feel a little "left show and right withered". Yuan Zhen's epitaph is the earliest epitaph found in the Northern Wei Dynasty. Therefore, taking this as the upper limit, I selected a series of epitaphs of Yuan surname and witnessed the style changes in the passage of time.
Like the stone statues of the same period, it is a symbol of the maturity of the northern monument. AD 439 was a landmark year in the Northern Wei Dynasty. The Northern Wei Dynasty destroyed the northern cool and unified the Yellow River valley, ending the situation that the sixteen northern countries were divided for more than one hundred years. The Northern Dynasty in the "Southern and Northern Dynasties" began at that time, that is, the fifty-third year of the establishment of the Northern Wei Dynasty.
