In order to inherit and carry forward the glorious tradition and excellent school spirit of our school, and to encourage all teachers and students to constantly renew their spirit, study hard, study rigorously, blaze new trails, and strive for progress, it is decided through research that the motto of guangxi technological college of machinery and electricity New School is "Self-improvement, Hony-mindedness, Unity of Knowledge and Practice".
"Self-improvement": "Self-improvement" comes from the Book of Changes, which means self-respect, perseverance, self-improvement and continuous progress. "Hony" comes from the Analects of Confucius, saying that "a scholar must be hony, with a long way to go", which means ambitious and strong-willed. Self-improvement is the traditional virtue of the Chinese nation, and Hongyi is the lofty pursuit of countless people with lofty ideals in history, which should be used as training for the achievement of the cause.
"Unity of knowledge and action": the proposition of Wang Yangming, a scholar in Ming Dynasty. "Knowledge" refers to cognition, knowledge and theory; "Behavior" refers to behavior and practice; "Harmony" means combination, unity and harmony. "Unity of knowledge and practice" is the dialectical unity of theory and practice, which requires not only applying what you have learned and seeking knowledge by doing, but also seeking truth, being pragmatic and developing harmoniously, which profoundly embodies the spirit of the times of keeping pace with the times and developing scientifically.

Suntech: "Shang" means advocating, and "virtue" means morality and virtue, that is, human quality or character. "Fine industry": that is, excellent business ability.
