Wu Qian (1195-1262), named Yifu and Lvzhai, was originally from Ningguo, Xuanzhou (now part of Anhui), and was born in Deqingqing Town, Zhejiang Province. A famous official and poet in the late Southern Song Dynasty. The fourth son of Wu Rousheng, who was compiled by Mi Ge, was the younger brother of Wu Yuan who participated in political affairs.
In the 10th year of Jiading (1217) of Emperor Ningzong of the Southern Song Dynasty, he was awarded the first place in Jinshi and was awarded the title of Chengshilang. He moved to Jiangdong to appease those who stayed behind. In the 11th year of Emperor Chunyou's reign (1251), he participated in political affairs, worshiped the right prime minister and privy envoy, and was granted the title of Chongguo Gong. The next year he dismissed the prime minister, and in the first year of Kaiqing (1259), Yuan soldiers invaded south and attacked Ezhou. He was appointed prime minister of the left and granted the title of Duke of Qing, and later changed to Duke of Duke. He was squeezed out by Jia Sidao and others, dismissed as prime minister, relegated to Jianchang Army, and moved to Chaozhou and Xunzhou.
