Wang Jiancheng, born in Beijing in 1957, is currently the vice chairman of Beijing Chongwen Artists Association, a member of Beijing Chongwen CPPCC, a member of Beijing Artists Association, the vice chairman of Beijing Jiuzhou Painting and Calligraphy Research Association, the vice chairman of Beijing Longhu Painting and Calligraphy Association and the president of Beijing Kyoto Painting and Calligraphy Society.
Wang Jiancheng loved painting since he was a child. At the age of 17, he studied under Mr. Li Kuchan, and later he asked Mr. Li Yan for help, which made him a great master. Wang Jiancheng was good at freehand brushwork of flowers and birds in his early years, and then he specialized in animal painting.
In February, 1991, he won the Creative Award of the Cross-Strait Painting and Calligraphy Grand Prix;
