Zhou Zhiwei has shown a strong interest in art since his childhood. He is diligent and devoted to the study of calligraphy and painting skills. His works have participated in many domestic and foreign calligraphy and painting competitions and won many awards. When he was 19 years old, he studied calligraphy and painting with Professor Lei Mingdong. Because of his hard work, he was deeply loved by the teacher. Although he later entered the business world, his desire for art was never extinguished. Later, he was lucky enough to meet a calligrapher and the winner of the Lanting Education Award. Teacher Wang Jianguo's personal experience gave him a deeper understanding of calligraphy. His rich life experience gave him a deeper understanding of calligraphy. With his own hard work and study, he gradually developed a unique set of calligraphy theories and artistic expressions.

In the early days of reform and opening up, he took advantage of the country's economic development and resolutely went south to do business, creating a vast world in the business world. Later, he gave up business and became a literary scholar, concentrating on sitting in a shabby room, reading books and often making friends with Confucius, Mencius and Zhuangzi. His lofty sentiments were accompanied by pen, ink, paper and inkstone, and he drank tea as nectar to wash his body and mind. Zhou Zhiwei studied the art of calligraphy and painting carefully, working tirelessly and forgetting to eat and sleep, and gradually achieved great results. He visited South Korea, the United States and other countries with Chinese artist delegations many times, and his calligraphy works participated in many national calligraphy exhibitions. Throughout his life, Zhou Zhiwei also loved collecting antique jades, especially purple sand. He did not care about the quantity, but he only wanted high-quality items, and he inadvertently protected several national cultural relics.

In 1981, he participated in the Zhongzhou Style Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition; in 2008, he participated in the Conference to Promote Chinese Culture and Art Brands to the World, and was received by the Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress and important leaders; in 2009, he participated in the Chinese Artists Delegation and visited overseas South Korea; In 2010, he participated in the Green Home·Harmonious World Global Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition and won the silver medal; In 2011, he participated in a Chinese artist delegation and visited the United States; In 2011, his calligraphy works were exhibited in the Chinese Workers’ Calligraphy Works Exhibition, etc.
