Fengchen Jingchi, Jiuping layman, named Ruru Taoist, self-signed as the master of Miaoyou Zhai. In his early years, Jingchi studied under Mr. Wang Guodong in Beijing and participated in the painting of Chairman Mao's portrait in Tiananmen Square. In the 1980s, his oil painting apprenticeship was with Mr. Feng Fasi, and his calligraphy apprenticeship was with Mr. Lin Sanzhi, Zhang Ding and Liu Bingsen. In 1987, he graduated from the Xu Beihong Studio of the Oil Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. During a personal exhibition of calligraphy and painting works at the Beijing Art Museum in 1996, Mr. Zhao Puchu, president of the Chinese Buddhist Association, saw the calligraphy work "Heart Sutra" and learned that Jingchi had used various calligraphy styles to create the calligraphy "Heart Sutra" hundreds of times. He also mentioned the book "The Scholar Under the Bodhi Tree", and Jingchi also painted an oil portrait of Mr. Zhao Puchu. This portrait is now collected by the China Association for the Promotion of Democracy.
Jingchi has learned calligraphy since he was a child, studied Yan Fanliu, and studied various calligraphy schools. He especially studied Qin seal script and Han li script. He devoted himself to studying for decades and created his unique calligraphy art style, which is shocking. artistic appeal. In the thousands-year history of calligraphy in China, it has continued to carry forward its extensive and profound art of Chinese calligraphy, and created "non-style" calligraphy that breaks through the traditional five calligraphy styles of "zhen, cao, li, seal and xing". It can be regarded as a unique and magical stroke in the history of calligraphy art. It was once praised as "the best book in the book garden" by Mr. Liu Bingsen, a giant in contemporary calligraphy circles.
