Who are the four friends of literati?

Qinqi calligraphy and painting.

In ancient times, playing the piano (mostly refers to playing guqin), playing chess (mostly refers to Go), calligraphy and painting were the skills that literati (including some aristocratic families) must master to cultivate their self-cultivation, so they were collectively called "four friends of literati". Nowadays, it often expresses personal cultural accomplishment. Guqin, also known as lyre, Qin Yu and lyre, is one of the oldest plucked instruments in China. Guqin has been popular since the time of Confucius, with a history of at least 3000 years.

Chess refers to Go, and Bo refers to Liu Boqi. Ban Gu's Book of Changes records that he is knowledgeable in the world and is good at chess alone. Calligraphy is a unique traditional art in China. Chinese characters in China were created by working people and began to be recorded by pictures. After thousands of years of development, it has evolved into today's writing. Painting refers to Chinese painting, which is usually painted on rice paper with a brush dipped in water-soluble pigments, mainly depicting landscapes, utensils, flowers and birds, people and so on. The color is simple and bright, and the painting style is abstract and freehand.

Literati characteristics

1, whatever you want, go with the fate. Scholars have a persistent spirit, such as Su Dongpo, who has always had the courage to stick to the past. From him, we can see the simple heart and persistent temperament of China literati.

2. Bamboo sticks and shoes are lighter than horses. Li Bai and Du Fu are the most famous literati in China. Li Bai, because of his elegance and heroism, and Du Fu, because of his concern for the country and the people, have an ideal of home and country. The former embodies the free and easy spirit of the literati, while the latter embodies their feelings of helping the world, pushing themselves and others. Both of them are outstanding scholars in China.

3, life is promising, but also "nothing to do." Ancient scholar Tao Yuanming is one of the representatives. Whether in light or dark, sinking or floating, he has his own calm strength and sober persistence.
