Lu Dingshan, 1945, a native of Yongning County, Guangxi, is an associate research librarian. He has served as director of Yongning County Cultural Center and director of Cultural Bureau, and is currently deputy director of Yongning County People's Congress Standing Committee. Vice Chairman of Guangxi Calligraphers Association, Vice Chairman of Nanning Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Honorary Chairman of Nanning Calligraphers Association.

I like calligraphy since I was a child, and I have been learning from others for many years, striving for the unity of artistry and practicality and forming my own style. More than 100 works have been published in various books, exhibited or won prizes at the national, provincial and municipal levels. Seven monographs and seven co-authors have been officially published and distributed nationwide. One set of three monographs, Introduction to Lishu, Introduction to Running Script and Introduction to Regular Script, has been printed 14 times. Stone carvings such as the Analects of Confucius in Qufu, Shandong, Qingxiu Mountain Forest in Nanning, Dule Forest in Liuzhou and Nanzhu Forest in Beihai. He was rated as the second batch of top-notch professional and technical talents in Nanning, and the first "Virtue and Art" artist in Nanning. It was included in China Dictionary of Modern Calligraphy Names and China Dictionary of Contemporary Writers and Artists.
