Exploring Shambhala
On the pilgrimage for art, Wang Tiansheng is keen on wandering between heaven and earth, looking for faces of different shapes, excavating the soul of perfection and beauty, and exploring the ultimate scenery. However, not everyone can easily enjoy this beauty, but it is accompanied by hard breathing, heavy walking and even the cost of life ... < P > In 1993, in order to create authentic Tibetan customs, Wang Tiansheng entered the Tibetan area with his daughter who had just been admitted to the middle school attached to the Central Academy of Fine Arts and six students from the cadre class of the Art College of the People's Liberation Army. In the isolated salt flat Gobi area of Bayan Kela Mountain Pass, the air was extremely thin, and a naval cadet suddenly fell into a coma. Fortunately, the rescue was timely and the young man finally woke up. However, Wang Tiansheng, as the team leader, felt very scared and immediately decided to withdraw to a military station not far away. After resting there for several hours, everyone gradually got used to it, but whether to move on or not made Wang Tiansheng very embarrassed. In case of danger, the consequences would be unimaginable. After discussion, everyone resolutely decided that as long as they have a breath, they must cross Bayan Kela Mountain. So they bought some oxygen and food, and went to the unknown danger again.
It was summer, and when the car climbed the mountain, there was vegetation gradually, and everyone adapted to the environment where oxygen was scarce. However, halfway up the mountain, the car suddenly turned off. We calculated the time, and we could climb the top of the mountain in an hour or two, so we gave up the idea of withdrawing, and the car started again with the cart. However, the fundamental problem of the car was not solved, and the car stalled again at 1: 3 in the middle of the night when it was going to the top of the mountain. This time, everyone was nervous. Although it is summer, the temperature difference between day and night is great, and at the top of the mountain, the temperature drops to below zero, a box of watermelons in the car has already been frozen black, and the flashlight will soon be out of power. The sky is snowing heavily, and when it falls to the ground, it turns to mud, and the car sinks deeper and deeper. The only way is to wait for the passing vehicles to rescue it. The air on the top of the mountain is thin, and it is very difficult for everyone to breathe. In this case, once they fall asleep, they may never wake up. In order to keep everyone awake, Wang Tiansheng spent the whole night shouting the names of the students. Time passed by, and it was not until the sun rose slowly the next day that a Hui detachment passed by. After repeated entreaties and in exchange for oxygen and food, the painters were rescued and arrived at the location of the troops in Yushu area.
after suffering, luck finally came. Wang Tiansheng's armed police force in Yushu learned that the grand Kangba Art Festival would be held here at the end of July, so the painters who had planned to return to Beijing at the end of July stayed in Yushu for a whole month to enjoy the original tribal event.
In that month, Wang Tiansheng lived with Tibetans and talked with them face to face. The simplicity and enthusiasm of Tibetans deeply infected Wang Tiansheng. He can drink yogurt sent by Tibetan friends every day, but the hard days have become the most unforgettable time in his life.
At the end of the trip, Kangba Art Festival finally arrived. Recalling that memory, Wang Tiansheng got excited and danced to describe the grand event that he had never seen before: "The Khampa Festival was held in the valley of the tribe. When we saw the tall and handsome Khampa men coming in luxurious national costumes, everyone was stupid. We had never seen such a battle. They were full of jewelry, and some belts were worth millions, which was full of gems, which made us an eye-opener. We also saw the singing and dancing performances of primitive tribes. It rained hail that day and fell to the ground and turned into mud. The mud splashed on the white sleeves of boots, but they remained enthusiastic. The crazy state deeply touched me. "
That time, collecting wind in the northwest lasted for three months and traveled more than 2, kilometers, and a lot of information was collected, which brought many real feelings to the later painting of ethnic minorities. After returning to Beijing, Wang Tiansheng drew four folio Manuscripts of Wang Tiansheng's White Temple, and completed influential masterpieces such as Yushu Tibetan Girl and Tashide Dele.
Since then, Wang Tiansheng has gone deep into Tibetan areas twice. In one of the collecting activities, Wang Tiansheng caught a cold and then turned into acute pulmonary edema. His lungs were affected by high pressure and turned into spiders. This disease is the most terrible threat in the plateau environment, and his lungs are in danger of exploding at any time, which can easily take a person's life. Wang Tiansheng had a dry cough on the first night, and then he began to vomit blood. However, in order not to affect the team, Wang Tiansheng insisted on telling everyone until the end of the collection. After timely rescue, he was out of danger. Wang Tiansheng said that he would go again. Shambhala's blue sky, snowy mountains, simple folk customs, luxurious costumes and mysterious religious atmosphere seem to force people to change, explore and reflect on life, life and art. Wang Tiansheng said that Shambhala can't just refer to a certain place. It is a kind of spirit, a dream, and the truth, goodness and beauty of the world that painters want to pursue.
Soldiers
For the sake of art, Wang Tiansheng has traveled many places, but what he likes best is to walk into soldiers, because they are sunny, they are defenders of the motherland, and they have an inexhaustible spirit.
In p>1999, in order to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Art College of the People's Liberation Army organized several delegations to the East China Sea, the South China Sea, Daxing 'anling, the Sino-Vietnamese border and other places to present gifts to the motherland. Wang Tiansheng went to the Sino-Vietnamese border with the delegation.
At that time, the war on the Sino-Vietnamese border had already vanished. However, the war left a rather serious "sequela": there were many unexploded mines on the border, as many as 2 million! As a result, local farmers can't plow land, put sheep and mine ... Don't say it's very difficult to get rid of poverty and get rich, even they have to walk in fear, and lightning strikes occur frequently.
In order to let the people live a stable life and reassure them, the mine-clearing soldiers walked hand in hand in the swept minefield to prove that there was no mine. When Wang Tiansheng came to the frontier defense, he happened to see this feat, so he also participated. "We walked arm in arm like waves. In fact, I was very scared at that time, but the soldiers gave me a belief and a courage. " Wang Tiansheng said.
In the days when I was at the frontier, almost everything happened was shocking. One day, the army invited some mine-clearing heroes to give a talk to the artists. One of the instructors gave a different talk. He didn't say anything grandiose. As soon as he came on stage, he lifted his pants, which contained a steel frame. His legs were blown to pieces and he lost his fiancee! Wang Tiansheng was deeply touched by this scene: "In the past, soldiers were called' the cutest people', but today, these heroes have become' abandoned people'. I still remember the soldier's words:' I only have one foot, can I find a beautiful fiancee in the future?' Their tragic situation is really heartbreaking. "
