Sun Yat-sen and His Calligraphy Art
□ Ren Hao
"The world is public" is not something everyone can do. Even as a slogan and an ideal, not everyone has it. Sun Yat-sen, the pioneer of China's modern democratic revolution, has been fighting for the lofty revolutionary ideal all his life, that is, "the world is for the public". If you aim high, your achievements will shine with the sun and the moon.
Sun Yat-sen (1866- 1925) was born in Xiangshan (now Zhongshan), Guangdong. He is the prime minister of the League, and has formulated the revolutionary program and the Three People's Principles. After the Revolution of 1911, he served as the interim president of the Republic of China; He made a declaration for Yuan, organized and defended the military government, reorganized the Kuomintang, formulated three major policies, and integrated the complete works of the Prime Minister.
As a pioneer of China's modern revolution, Sun Yat-sen's reputation is well known. As a calligrapher, Sun Yat-sen's art has its own physique. Judging from the works he can read now, such as "The Duke of the World", "The Four Winds" and "Selling Newspapers", he is quite accomplished in the study of Yan Zhenqing, Su Dongpo and Beibei. Judging from the book list "The World is Public", Sun Yat-sen not only regarded it as a lofty ideal that he fought for all his life, but also showed it to everyone in the form of calligraphy. This book was written in calligraphy during the Republic of China, with four words in the body, seven words in the upper and lower paragraphs and eleven words in * *. "The World is Public" is a four-character book, with a stirring center and a broad and vigorous spirit of Weibei, and its magnanimity can better show the author's broad mind.
Reading Sun Yat-sen's other list book, The Wind of the Four Sides, is also wonderful. "The Lord of the World" is written in the form of a horizontal amount, and "The Four Winds" is written in the form of a square fight. In Sun Yat-sen's book, fighting the other side of the list is rare. Structurally, it is broad, generous and magnificent. Judging from the use of pens, it is also a thick ink and heavy pen, with the potential of horses; There are both the roundness and massiness of Yan characters and the boldness of Weibei, and the "charm" and "momentum" are perfectly unified here.
Although Sun Yat-sen is not a specialized calligraphy artist, his calligraphy works have unusual charm-both broad, heroic and magnificent works, as well as elegant, relaxed and fresh styles and works with lasting charm. Letters from the newspaper seller is the representative work of his running script. This is a running script, a paper book, five elements and 62 words, which is included in the calligraphy of the Republic of China. Because it's a letter, it's handwritten and informal. No matter writing, writing or composition, it is written in a very relaxed and free mood. Compared with the big characters in the list, it is full of artistic effects. Although this letter was written inadvertently, you can get another feeling from it after reading it carefully.
Judging from the structure of Chinese characters, the breadth and massiness of Yan characters are still faintly visible, but they have been "deified" as a style transformation in their works and melted into a spirit or realm. Wei Bei's strength is also diluted in his works, and his service is imperceptibly subordinate to the overall style of running script works. Judging from the style of the work, it is elegant, romantic, fresh and natural, and also reveals the aesthetic implication in the sense of "culture". This is the * * * commonality of calligraphy art of modern intellectuals in China. For example, the works of Zhou Enlai, Cai Yuanpei, Liang Qichao, Guo Moruo, Wang Guowei and Lu Xun all convey their different calligraphy artistic styles and grand outlook on life on the cultural level. Among them, there are imitations of Jinyun and Tang Fa, imitations of Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, imitations of seal script and imitations of Han steles. Sun Yat-sen took Tang Fa and Beibei as the style basis of his works, and built his calligraphy art home. For a great man like Sun Yat-sen, it may be conscious or unconscious. In any case, the spirit of his works provides reference for future generations in learning methods.
