I am very satisfied with the handwriting written by Master Hongyi. No matter how I look at them, I think they are kind-hearted, clumsy and warm, naive and moist, and bodhisattvas, giving people an infinite sense of closeness and peace. Among them, one word feels best. The single book is "Three Provinces", with the inscription "Xinsi Izayoi in February, dreaming of three provinces". Wing day book is self-encouragement, yat sen villa old man. "
"Yixian old man" is the title of Master Hongyi in his later years, which is taken from Li Yishan's poem: "Heaven loves grass, and the world loves Yixian". He also has a nickname: "2 1 year-old man", which is taken from Wu Meicun's poem "A man who has accomplished nothing is old and worthless." . Let me see, it's all modesty and self-encouragement. When Master Hongyi was 48 years old, his students Liu Zhiping, Feng Zikai and his friend Xia Mianzun raised funds and built the Yixian Villa, also known as Yixian Garden, for him in Baima Lake, Shangyu. Master Hongyi used this "Yixian" No.1 until his later years. As mentioned earlier, the word "three provinces" inscribed as "the old man in yat sen villa" must have come from his residence in his later years, the yat sen villa room of Wenling Nursing Home in Buerci, Quanzhou.
The word "three provinces" is big but not duh, simple but not withered, and its word "three" is like half a face of a person, thinking and realizing. The word "province" looks wonderful. At first, it was a combination of "small" and "self". The word "small" is vertical and thick, but it invisibly emphasizes the small feeling of "small". The word "self" pays more attention to the eyes, and also quietly shows the great sense of "self". After reading it, I think people should always understand and practice the realm of "self" or "no self" to prevent selfishness, complacency, arrogance, conceit and recklessness from flooding; The word "province" is also the superposition of the word "less" and the word "eye", which means that when you get along with people, things and things in the four seasons, you should use less eyes and pay more attention.
In calligraphy, Master Hongyi once wrote that it is shameful to write a few beautiful words if family members don't understand Buddhism or don't study hard. Monks must attach importance to Buddhism, and it is good to practice calligraphy and writing in their spare time. "If you can only write a few good words, but you don't concentrate on learning Buddhism, although people praise him for his good handwriting, it's just' people pass the word'." "Although the monk's handwriting is not good, if it is very moral, then his handwriting is very precious, and the result is that it can be passed down from person to person." Listen, how well this is said. It can be seen that the reason why Master Hongyi's calligraphy is so good and full of Buddhism lies in his diligent study and practice, and the most important thing is that Master Hongyi has a thorough understanding of Buddhism. The words he wrote are the perfect combination and embodiment of his foundation, character and Buddha nature. He is neither a word-for-word man nor a word-for-word man, but a word-for-word man.
Master Hongyi is known as the "art monk" in the world. His calligraphy accomplishments are unique and exquisite. However, in addition to calligraphy, he is also good at poetry, writing and rhythm. He wrote an excellent poem about his feelings, "Last night, the stars leaned against the building and the mountains and rivers floated in the Central Plains. Dark green is silent, and pear blossoms are red and autumn. " During my study, I felt a faint melancholy and a thick smell of red dust, like the fragrance of pear flowers, which could not be concealed. He also has a "Farewell Song", with good lyrics and songs. The singer has a deep heart and has been enduring for generations. His paintings are also impressive. I've seen the eighteen arhats of Moji, I've seen them and I like them very much. With bare feet, bare bellies, holding flowers, holding fans, wrinkled faces, or innocent faces, all arhats are light and ethereal, and their state is wonderful and real, like endurance, which makes people blink. His disciple Feng Zikai seems to have learned from him in painting, and his painting "The Statue of Master Hongyi" is excellent. In that image, the mage wears a monk's robe, just like nothing. When he turns the rosary and hangs it in the palm of his hand, he is silent and has the beauty and deep taste of his eighteen arhats.
Mr. Feng Zikai has deep feelings and respect for Master Hongyi, and the master is also very concerned and trusted. Before becoming a monk, the master gave some photos, books and objects of the secular world to Mr. Feng Zikai for preservation as a souvenir. Mr. Feng Zikai has always regarded Ruo Bao as a proper collection. Unexpectedly, later, his "Yuanyuantang" was destroyed by the war, and the photos of his teacher were also destroyed. Mr. Feng Zikai regretted it. Fortunately, someone borrowed these photos before and intended to keep the photocopied negatives and give him a set of photocopies to quench his thirst and regret. Mr. Feng Zikai once wrote in detail about those before the mage became a monk. Li Shutong (Hung Yi), who was a handsome rich boy when he was young, said, "The velvet bowl hat is decorated with a white jade in the middle, a vest and a satin robe, with a fat braid hanging from the back, a ribbon at the bottom and a double platform shoes. Hold your head high and have a handsome spirit between your eyebrows and eyes. " It is said that when studying in Japan, Mr. Li was "like a westerner, with a high hat, a stiff collar, sleeves, a tuxedo, pointed shoes with sticks, and glasses with a long body, a high nose and no pinch on his nose." It is said that when Mr. Li returned to China to become a teacher, he "pretended not to wear beautiful clothes, but put on a gray coarse cloth robe, a black cloth coat and a pair of cloth shoes." Gold rimmed glasses have also been replaced by Kurogane rimmed glasses. "Mr. Feng Zikai also praised his teacher as a handsome man, saying that" light makeup and heavy makeup are always appropriate "."He wears cloth clothes, which is infinite, but has another simple beauty. "This is the disciple for the teacher's heart, really visible.
Mr. Feng Zikai's description of his teacher's portrait is only a few strokes, but it can actually cover the half-life course of Master Hongyi.
In a velvet hat and satin robe, Guangyi was a young Guangyi. At that time, his name was Li Shutong. He was born in a wealthy official family in Tianjin. He studied poetry and songs from an early age and received a good education. Unfortunately, his father died young, and his mother, as a wing, had a humble position at home, which made him precocious. At the age of fifteen, the phrase "life is still like the moon in the western hills, and wealth is like frost on the grass" is enough to prove. Later, influenced by the failure of Kang Liang's political reform, he moved to Shanghai with his mother. During my stay in Shanghai, I made many new friends and was influenced by new ideas. It was once a rumor that they held a publication and a school meeting together. Later, his only relative, his mother, died unfortunately. At that time, the situation was turbulent and he resolutely chose to study abroad in Japan. Li Shutong has received a good education since childhood, which can be described as versatile. During his stay in Japan, he conducted in-depth study and research on western art, and achieved greater sublimation in artistic attainments. When he was still studying, he founded the Spring Willow Society, which promoted China's dramatic art to Japan and won great praise from Japanese dramatists. Gradually, he changed from an old-fashioned handsome rich boy to a man wearing a "high hat, stiff collar, stiff sleeves and a tuxedo", combining Chinese and Western styles. Later, Li Shutong, dressed in a "grey coarse cloth robe, black jacket and cloth shoes", is a portrayal of teaching music and painting in Zhejiang No.1 Normal School after returning to China. At that time, Mr. Feng Zikai was taught by him. Mr. Feng Zikai has many articles recalling his teacher, and also wrote many interesting stories about his teacher teaching music in normal schools. Talk about how his teacher Li looks serious and does things seriously, and also talk about how his teacher Li treats students who slam the door hard and fart at will with a soft attitude. In the meantime, pen and pen are really willing to write, which is very interesting. In the reading room, people can clearly see the other side of Master Hongyi before he became a monk, and see how he changed from satin robe to suit and tie, and finally to cloth shoes. This transformation, or transformation, is profound and self-evident.
Before becoming a monk, his name was Li Shutong, a young man, a rich boy, an international student and a university teacher. After becoming a monk, he studied under Hongyi, a monk who wore sandals, broke a porcelain bowl, kept the precepts and devoted himself to practice. Li Shutong became a monk at the age of 39 and died at the age of 64. If we put aside the children's casual years, it happens to be the first 25 years and the second 25 years. It can really be said that half-life is a son and half-life is a monk.
Some time ago, I went back to Qingcheng to visit my relatives and made an unprecedented burglary. I quietly brought back an old photo and put it in the bookcase of my brother's old house, because I really like the photo of Master Hongyi's nirvana. The photo is black and white, with the words "Nirvana Ruixiang, lawyer of Zong Hongyi in Zhongxing Nanshan" written on it. I saw a room, small and half white, as if there were still people. There is a simple wooden bed against the wall in the room. Master Hongyi has a headrest on his right arm and his left arm on his side. Barefoot, old clothes, broad forehead, dark eyebrows, faint eyes, smiling corners of the mouth, just like taking a nap under the bed at noon, the brick joints are thick and striking, and there are mottled shadows on the legs of the bed. Time seems to be scattered in every corner, and a pair of straw sandals live side by side, like lotus flowers blooming on a long brick in front of the shadow. Other than that, there is nothing in the photo. However, when I looked at the room, I felt a cool breeze blowing from Ran Ran, and suddenly I felt less dry and quiet for a long time. That's more than a sentence written by Mr. Feng Zikai that "thick makeup is always appropriate" or a word "beauty".
Master Hongyi is a famous artist, educator and Buddhist scholar in the modern history of China. He is an admirable scholar who combines all kinds of arts. Countless people have read and written articles about him. Many people are studying the reasons why he became a monk, such as his background, family environment, times environment, bankruptcy theory, seclusion theory, disillusionment theory and so on. And the depth and details of the excavation are really eye-catching. His student, Mr. Feng Zikai, even has his "three-layer theory", saying that human life has three layers, one is material life, the other is spiritual life, and the third is soul life. He said that Master Hony sought the life of the soul on the basis of his material life and spiritual life. This statement has also been recognized and agreed by many people. I feel in my heart that this is just a kind of admiration and praise for the teacher who is a student, just as he praised the mage as a handsome man who is always suitable for heavy makeup and light makeup. In fact, Master Hongyi is a person who knows what he wants and what he doesn't want. His entry into the WTO and his birth are only followed by the word "like". It is reported that Master Hongyi lived in a temple several times before becoming a monk. He claimed that it was "interesting to see where the monk lived" and saw a monk passing by the window upstairs. "I'm glad to see him." Even the monks in other people's temples eat very enjoyable meals. It can be seen that its fate is extremely Buddhist. Later, Master Hongyi was able to give up his family and love. For decades, he followed the precepts and lived an ascetic life. Others feel puzzled or disdainful, but for him, they are all willing and happy.
The most rare thing in the world is the word "like".
Master Hongyi likes writing and practices for this hobby. One of his friends, Xia Mianzun, said that his calligraphy was so accomplished because he used to accumulate it. He said that he practiced calligraphy on weekdays and always got up at dawn. He was very diligent. Said he had visited Zhong Ding, an ancient stone tablet, without any slack. To others, copying and practicing calligraphy is a kind of pain, but to him, he likes it. Master Hongyi likes Buddhism, just as he likes writing, so he also practices Buddhism. He studies law, so he is always strict with himself. He sat upright and stopped eating after noon. Even before sitting on the rattan chair, he had to shake it for fear of crushing the bugs in the cracks in the rattan. It is reported that Master Hongyi was more self-disciplined in his later years. He was once ashamed of giving speeches everywhere, receiving visitors frequently and hosting banquets from time to time. He claimed that he just became a "social monk" and "buried himself in evil". Later, the mage simply declined all secular visits and banquets, sandals and old clothes, closed doors and devoted himself to writing.
Of course, words like "making friends with monks" and "burying one's head in evil" are all self-modesty and self-encouragement of the mage. However, his self-discipline is true, and if nothing else, the word "three provinces" mentioned above is proof. That word was inscribed as "Xin Si", that is, 194 1 year, the year before his death. It can be seen that Master Hongyi is a person who never dies and learns, which is really not simple.
There is a story about him. It is said that the mage once lived in seclusion in the valley. Once his friend Xu Beihong visited him and saw a withered old tree sprouting in front of his house. He exclaimed, "There are monks living here, and even the dead branches sprouted." Master Hony smiled and said, "That's not the case. I watered him every day after I came, and it sprouted. " What is the purpose of the Buddha? Probably in this sentence! Where is the heart of serving Buddha? It's the same language! In fact, not only the mind and heart of the Buddha, but also the joys and sorrows of all things in the world are all in this word!
In addition to this inspiring Buddhist poem, Master Hongyi has left many poems in the world. For example, "a friendship between gentlemen is as light as water", such as "why slander it?" There is no argument. ""Why don't you complain? Said: there is no dispute. "Every word of enlightenment is of great significance. In addition to the calligraphy of the "three provinces" mentioned above, Master Hongyi has left many calligraphy works in the world. Feel free to collect and see, and benefit a lot. The "heart" of his book "Self-purification" is like a wave of ripples, happy but not dry; His "heart" in the book "Seeking Buddha with One Heart" is heavy and firm, like a face that closes its eyes and meditates. Another picture says: "A short dream through the ages, a big boat of Amitabha. "This painting is not only well written, but also has a better meaning. It can be said that the pen and ink are bright and smooth, particularly eye-catching, eye-catching, and also clearly witnessed his people, his heart and his life journey. I think there is almost a man, a husband and a father in the "eternal right and wrong"; Be a son, a celebrity, a revolutionary and an international student; Become an artist, musician, educator, dramatist, calligrapher and painter. However, Qian Fan also had the same dream. Later, he gradually discovered that the ancient Buddha with the blue lantern was his favorite and the most suitable for his soul. In the end, he broke the world of mortals, jumped out of the five elements, and found and pursued his "Tommy" with a sincere and self-disciplined heart. His "big boat" not only crossed the river by himself, but also crossed people on the road of life. And there are two surviving Buddhist works, even honored as "the eleventh ancestor of Nanshan Famen". In his life of "mixed sorrow and joy", he enjoyed Buddhism tirelessly, and finally bore the fruit of "Hua Zhi Man Chun, Tian Yuan Xinyue", which was really good.
