"You can't even read books, but you still want to succeed": After reading this book, I can also read 24 books in 3 months

——Reflections after reading "You Can’t Read Books, Yet You Still Want to Be Successful"

Text/Li Qingxin

Do you have many books at home? Has it been sitting idle for years and is gathering dust?

When I started learning to write, the number of books at home began to increase unknowingly. The books I bought could be seen everywhere in the house. Some of them were less than half read, and some were even flipped through. A few pages, and some are still brand new, wrapped in plastic wrap... There are hundreds of books, but few of them have been actually read.

I often wonder, when will I be able to read all these books? I’m afraid I’ll never be able to do it in this life!

That day, after the Qiyue Dream Community launched an activity to read two books per week, I hesitated to sign up. I was worried that I would not be able to do it. While hesitating, I finally signed up. The deadline - August 18th has slipped away quietly.

Although I did not sign up, I still made some preparations for studying.

I solemnly copied the reading list recommended by the community neatly into my notebook. The notebook as big as A4 paper only filled one page. It didn’t look like much, at least it wasn’t as scary as I imagined. The neat handwriting is also different from the slightly sloppy diaries and notes I used to have.

I started sorting out the books at home and found a few books listed on the list.

"You Can't Read Books, Yet You Still Want to Be Successful" is the first required book on the list. The authors are Koreans: Er Zhicheng and Zheng Huiyi. I read e-books.

Before reading this book, I guessed that it was probably a book teaching people how to read. However, after one day, I read it all eagerly and found that it was actually a guide book. It is a book that makes people "fall in love with reading", because in the process of reading this book, I developed a strong desire - in the next 3 months, I must read 24 books, that is, read two books a week. book.

How to read two books a week?

First of all, you must clarify the purpose of your reading.

The author divides reading into three types:

If you are for fun, you will not be eager to read;

If you are In order to gain new knowledge, you would not be eager to read;

If you knew that reading could change you and your life, would you be eager to read many, many books?

If you clarify the purpose of your reading and recite it silently in your heart every day, or say it out loud, you will generate endless motivation.

We all know that the best time to study was ten years ago, followed by now.

However, there is another answer that many people may not know, and that is - when you desperately want to learn.

In fact, it is like this in everything, and it is the same with reading. When you desperately want to study, nothing can stop you.

When we have the idea of ??eagerly reading, we can start to consider the issue of book selection.

At the beginning, you can choose the books that interest you most to read, which will help develop the habit of reading.

Interesting and good-looking things can always successfully attract people's attention.

Of course, it is generally accepted that reading two books a week is incredible. In the past, I didn’t believe that I could do it, and I had never tried to read two books in one week. However, in the past three days, I have read two books.

The day before reading this book, I read "Skins" by the post-80s writer Tsai Chong-tat. At that time, more than a dozen free e-books were shared in the community. I vaguely felt that it was an analysis of the soul. The book is just within my interest range, and the content of the book is not long. The reading mode on the mobile phone only has 721 pages per session. I tested it and found that I can read 3 pages in about 1 minute, and it takes about 240 minutes to read the entire book. That is 4 hours. So, I finished reading the book on the 18th.

Of course, that day, I not only read a book, I also worked for 6 or 7 hours, doing morning exercises for about 1 hour, practicing voice for about 1 hour, practicing calligraphy for about 1 hour, and Also took a nap.

If you spend 4 hours a day studying, I am afraid many office workers will shout: "I can't do it!"

Most people don't have time to study, but they have time. Watch dramas, play games, and post on Moments! And the dramas and games we stayed up late to catch up on in the past don’t seem to have changed our lives, do they? On the contrary, it consumes a lot of our time.

Bill Gates once said that he reads five books a week. Does it mean that he has more free time than us? No, but he realized the importance of reading and put it in a priority position.

There is always time to squeeze in. You must know that 6 10 minutes equals 1 hour!

The time you spend waiting for the bus, subway, or elevator can also be used for fragmented reading.

When you are riding in the car or subway, you may have read half of a book without realizing it.

The computer version of this book I read on my mobile phone did not display page numbers. Because I had the experience of spending 4 hours reading a book the day before, I thought it should not be a problem for me.

It just so happened that I had something to go out yesterday. It took about 90 minutes to take the bus back and forth, so I read a book for 90 minutes. Time slipped away unknowingly, and the distance that usually seemed far away also disappeared. Invisibly, the journey has been shortened countless times. It feels like the car I just got on has arrived. Even the problem of motion sickness has been ignored by me. Fortunately, I have not stopped.

When I got home in the evening, I read more than a third of it.

The book tells us that we should read for 1 hour when we get up early, read for 1 hour before going to bed, and half an hour each time when commuting to work. We can read at least 3 hours a day.

In my circle of friends, I can also see many such successful people. They get up earlier than the average person.

Perhaps I was subconsciously influenced by the outstanding people in my circle of friends. This morning, surprisingly, I got up an hour earlier than usual. I woke up naturally at 5:30 and started reading. Unexpectedly, I woke up at 5:30 and started reading. Before 7 o'clock, this book actually reached the bottom - I was so happy that I almost jumped out of bed.

In this way, I finished reading two books in three days, and this review was written on the same day I finished reading the book.

Confucius said: Learning without thinking means nothing. Just reading without thinking is like not reading at all.

"Books are not simply collections of information. Many scholars and writers have written the truths they have sought throughout their lives into books."

"Every time a writer publishes a book , they all have to work hard to incorporate their own voices into the cultural essence.”

And as long as we spend some time reading them and understanding their essence, we can gain something, so why not?

The author even predicts that everyone who reads will enter a period of burnout, and provides us with three effective solutions:

Tight strings also need to be relaxed. Time to relax is also time to study. Don't talk to those who say "reading is useless", as it will affect your enthusiasm for reading.

When we develop the habit of reading, we can start to choose some books in professional fields.

Reading has made the author of this book a success, turning him from a debtor of 4 million to a best-selling author. If you also want to change your life through reading, then start reading now!
