[Tianmen Mountain], formerly known as Yunmeng Mountain and Songliang Mountain, is the first famous mountain with historical records in Zhangjiajie. In the sixth year of Wu Yong 'an in the Three Kingdoms (AD 263), the cliff in Song Liang suddenly opened up and was as mysterious as a door, forming a rare world wonder-Tianmen Cave, hence the name Tianmen Mountain.
Tianmen Mountain is only 8 kilometers away from Zhangjiajie city, with an altitude of 15 18.6 meters. The mountain is surrounded by cliffs, magnificent and mature karst landforms.
