? Reflections on Emily

? Li, grade five

Recently, I am reading Emile written by French writer Rousseau. The first time I read this book, I took a bite alive, because some places in the book were a little confusing, but after reading it, I was deeply shocked by the love for human beings around the words, which went deep into all aspects of people, concrete and meticulous, gentle and serene, broad and profound. Emil gave me a deep inspiration. As a teacher, you can only teach children in accordance with their aptitude, teach them useful, true and easy-to-understand knowledge, and cultivate their interest in learning and research.

For Emile, due to the time, I read some chapters roughly, but I focused on one or two chapters, which made me deeply realize how difficult it is to be a qualified teacher. Xunzi said, "Teacher, preach, teach and solve doubts." I think a qualified teacher should not only educate students about book knowledge and basic moral norms, but also educate them in a proper way from the students' point of view, combined with their psychological age.

I think Rousseau's education of children of different ages has a certain guiding role in the education of modern society. Modern society always likes to educate children in advance, even cramming education. Today's children, in order to "lay a good foundation for further studies", bear a heavy burden of knowledge learning, and a large number of exercises make them overwhelmed. Many parents are eager for their children to succeed. Besides being overloaded with reading, writing and calculation, they are also required to attend various extracurricular and holiday classes, which makes their children lose their free activities and hobbies. At this time, the child's mind is not very sound. What they need is sensory education. They should go to nature to feel colorful life and what is beautiful.

In Rousseau's view, education comes from three aspects: first, natural education, that is, the internal development of our talents and organs; The second is human education, that is, others teach us how to make use of this development; The third is the education of things, that is, the good experience we get from things that affect us. In a person, if these three different kinds of education are consistent and tend to the same goal, then children can get a good education, achieve their own goals and live a meaningful life. Otherwise, the child's nature will be destroyed and become "precocious fruit without taste and aroma, and even rot".

Therefore, as teachers, we should be clear about the purpose of education. The most important thing is to teach students the skills and principles of being a man. In this way, students will have goals at any time when they go to society, and they can fight for their ideals and stick to their duties as human beings. Secondly, according to the law of children's physical and mental natural development, according to children's ability and natural tendency to carry out appropriate education, otherwise students will feel bound and unable to develop freely and healthily.
