First, don't kill heroes.
In the history of China, many emperors killed heroes. For example, Emperor Gaozu Liu Bang, at the instigation of others, killed his marshal Han Xin. Zhu Yuanzhang, the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty, slaughtered his hero. Li Shimin, on the other hand, has a Lingyan Pavilion dedicated to all the heroes who died in battle, and often goes in to burn incense and worship.
Second, I can listen to suggestions.
As the saying goes, when advice is least heeded, many emperors will show that they can listen to advice in order to flaunt themselves as wise kings, but they can really do very little. Li Shimin did take the advice. For example, Wei Zhi, a famous remonstrator, often loses face to Li Shimin in court, and the two often quarrel. If there is another emperor, he will be killed directly. After all, in ancient times, the emperor was very concerned about face.
