Wang Xizhi's former residence reaches Lanshan Road in the north, Shuyuan Street in the east and Miaoxiang in Zhao Pu in the west. It is the residence of Wang Xizhi's childhood. The plaque at the main entrance was inscribed by the famous calligrapher Qi Gong. The master plan covers an area of more than 80 mu, including four theme scenic spots, namely, Huaigu Yanchi, meandering water, setting sun shining, Millennium Five Saints, Wang Xizhi Exhibition Hall, Wang Xianzhi Exhibition Hall, Zhiyong Exhibition Hall, Calligraphy Brief History Exhibition Hall and Goose Pool. It is an important place to show Langya's long history and culture and Linyi's foreign cultural exchange.
Wang Xizhi's former residence was built in Langya County of Jin Dynasty. It is the place where the book sage Wang Xizhi was born and lived. There are West Wild Goose Lake, Zhao Pu Temple, Liu Jibei, Yintai, Wang Youjun Temple, Zuogong Temple, Sibaotai, Wuxian Temple and Langya Academy. The "sunset red" in Wang Xizhi's former residence was once the first of the ancient "Eight Scenes of Langya" and was famous in Kyushu.
Brief introduction of Wang Xizhi
Wang Xizhi (303-36 1 year) was born in Linyi (now Linyi City, Shandong Province). Minister and calligrapher of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, son of Yin in Danyang, son-in-law of Jane, known as "Book Sage".
With the help of the shadow in the door, he became an official, serving as a doctor, a secretariat of Jiangzhou, a satrap of Huiji, and a general of the right army, known as "Wang Youjun" in history. In the ninth year of Yonghe (353), he organized the Lanting Elegant Collection. His Preface to Lanting Collection became the best running script in the world. In the 11th year of Yonghe (355), he claimed to be ill, abandoned his official position and moved to Shaoxing Jinting. He died in the fifth year of Shengping (36 1) and was buried in Jinting Waterfall Mountain.
