What makes me most unforgettable is when I finally won the prize in the provincial "Lanting Cup" calligraphy competition for primary and secondary school students after putting in a lot of hard work. At that moment, I was thinking a lot, and the last thing that stayed in my mind was the famous saying of Grandma Soong Ching Ling - "Any achievement is the result of hard work."
The reason why I thought of this famous saying, It's because I really put in a lot of hard work in calligraphy. Looking back on the bitter and bitter days when I was practicing calligraphy, I feel really miserable. But in the end, I persisted.
It was one day in the third grade. My mother came home at noon, looked at me with her kind eyes, and asked me in a friendly tone: "My child, would you like to practice calligraphy?" There was clearly a kind of expectation in his eyes like a pool of water. So, I nodded and agreed.
At noon the next day, I met my calligraphy teacher, Teacher Ye. I forced myself to suppress my strong curiosity. However, calligraphy is not as comfortable and comfortable as imagined. It was the dog days of summer, and the electric fan in the classroom was turned on to its maximum power, still like a big furnace. There was no one on the playground. There was no electric fan in the calligraphy room, and my sweat kept dripping down throughout noon. If your hand is sore from writing, you have no choice but to continue practicing; if your feet are sore from standing, you have no choice but to continue practicing. The brush was mixed with ink and sweat, writing feebly on the paper. The conditions are almost "difficult", but I must persist! Several times, I "went on strike" and even made a mental vow to never practice calligraphy again. However, as soon as my hand touched the brush, there seemed to be an irresistible force that made me pick up the brush again. Maybe, deep down in my heart, there has always been a belief that is vaguely supporting me; or maybe, it is because calligraphy and I have an innate relationship of "continuous cutting and chaos." All in all, I persevered during those countless days and nights:
In spring, my classmates played happily on the playground, and the flowers were blooming, attracting countless butterflies flying beside them. Just like Zhu Xi's "Spring Day", "Everything is always spring." But I can only sigh in my calligraphy studio through the glass; in summer, the sun is so dazzling and hot, but I am wiping in my calligraphy studio. Sweat on my head, I continued to practice calligraphy while holding a pen; the bleak vegetation in autumn was such a unique scene, and I remained completely unchanged in my calligraphy studio, continuing my calligraphy; in winter, when the weather turned cold, the air-conditioning I exhaled was all gone. It was almost freezing, so I rubbed my frozen hands, holding a brush and writing on the paper. Unconsciously, my handwriting has made great progress, and my calligraphy level has also been greatly improved. "I'm no longer as bad as writing. At least, I can use it to meet guests." When I think of this, I get excited.
When the good news of winning the award came, my heart surged. At that moment, I thought of this famous saying: "Any achievement is the result of hard work." Life is the best teacher. After so many years of hard work, I finally achieved the brilliant results I have today. This incident made me deeply understand that "any achievement is the result of hard work." The connotation of this famous saying also made me gain the true meaning of life: only with dedication can there be rewards, and with hard work, there can be glory! When my name was honored again and again at the award ceremony, my heart was like a blooming flower. At that moment, I thought of this famous saying: "Any achievement is the result of hard work!"
