In the Ming Dynasty, Tonghai Xiushan was once known as the four famous mountains in Yunnan, together with Kunming Jinma Mountain, Dali Bijia Mountain and Dali Cangshan Mountain, and was called Xiujia South Yunnan. In the Han dynasty, there were ancient temples and pavilions built here, which were Buddhist resorts in the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties and turned into parks in the Republic of China. After thousands of years of expansion and transformation, it has gradually become a famous tourist attraction; 1987 12 is listed as the third batch of provincial key cultural relics in Yunnan province.
Xiushan Park is located in the south of Tonghai County, which is connected with the city. You can climb the mountain in a few hundred steps out of the city. There are many Buddhist temples in the mountains, winding and winding. Xiushan Park has been built for generations, forming ancient buildings such as Sanyuan Palace, Puguang Temple, Huangyuting, Qingliangtai, Wanshou Palace, Doutian Pavilion and Jinyong Temple.
The existing temples in Puguang Temple were built in the Yuan Dynasty, and the main hall roof truss is a bucket arch structure, which is a typical Mongolian architectural form. There are two pagodas built in the Yuan Dynasty, which are simple and solemn in memory of Li Panfu, a Buddhist monk. In the east yard, there is a dish-washing pool carved in the rock. The spring water in the crack in the rock above the pool bubbles out and drips into the pool, tinkling incessantly.
Qingliangtai, formerly known as Liang Qing Temple, was built by Tieniu Zen Master, a monk in the Yuan Dynasty, and has been acting as an agent for others. Lu Xian Temple, Guixiangtang, Haiyunlou, Wangyaotang, Penglai Pavilion and Wuhou Temple are connected into a building, with four hospitals and three links. The temple is high and steep, surrounded by green trees, with mountains and lakes on its back, and the cool wind is constant. This is indeed a cool world without intense heat.
Jinyong Temple, commonly known as Dading Temple, is the tallest building in Xiushan, named after the golden lotus. Covers an area of more than 6000 square meters. The temple is divided into three steps, the palace is magnificent, the door of the temple stands on the semicircular stone steps, and the three gold-plated characters of Jinyong Hall are majestic and solemn. In the middle is Xiushan Cooper Pavilion, all made of wood, which is very ingenious. Daxiong Hall is a statue of Buddha III, with good looks and a well-proportioned figure. The White Horse, Huanglong and Farhai Yuanming in front of the temple stand in the east, west, north and south. In the courtyard, cypresses are vigorous, camellias are in full bloom and Chinese fir is fragrant. White pine, yuanshan and mingyuan are called the three wonders of Xiushan. On the left side of Jinyong Temple is a courtyard. There is a unique plaque on the door. Write it here. The entrance is a quiet yard. The courtyard is in the east, the greenhouse is in the west and the yard is in the north. There are magnolia grandiflora, peony, peony and other famous flowers and herbs in the hospital, which makes people feel fragrant as soon as they enter the door.
Bailong Temple is located in Maolin at the southern foot of Xiushan Mountain. It is the only building in Houshan. The temple is simple and elegant, and it is in harmony with the surrounding environment. In recent years, some pavilions, verandas and service facilities have been expanded to divert water up the mountain and cultivate lotus flowers in the pond, which has become another new attraction of Xiushan Park. The beauty of Xiushan is green, and dense trees cover the whole mountain. At the northern foot of the mountain, there are thousands of bamboo poles, and the green is intended to drop; There are many shrubs and wild flowers in the dense forests of Shanxi. Shandong is towering, Chinese fir and chestnut are lush; The pine forest in Shannan is like the sea, and the waves are like roar. A wide variety of flowers and trees compete for beauty all year round, and the temples are also full of flowers and trees, pines, cypresses and verdant fir trees. Xiushan has not only the beauty of mountains and rivers, but also the chanting of famous ministers by poets and scholars in previous dynasties, making Xiushan a mountain with plaques and forest of steles. So far, Xiushan has preserved more than 200 pairs (blocks) of inscriptions. These inscriptions are full of poetry and painting, and their calligraphy is excellent, which makes poetry, books, paintings, landscapes and exquisite buildings perfectly integrated.
