Characteristics of Taishan Temple

The ancient Taishan Temple complex, also known as Fengshan, is located on Fengshan in the east of Qin 'an County, Tianshui City, Gansu Province. It is the only well-preserved ancient architectural complex of Ming and Qing Dynasties in Tianshui City, with a construction area of 1.7 million square meters. Fengshan is a remnant vein extending westward from Jiulong Mountain near Dadiwan, which looks like Qin 'an County where the phoenix dominates, hence the name Fengshan. According to Hu's Qin in Ming Dynasty and Qin 'an County Records in Qing Dynasty, Taishan Temple was built before Yuan Dade. There are 32 ancient cypresses over 300 years old, stone tablets 12, 63 statues of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism, and a large number of painted murals. Since Ming and Qing Dynasties, Qin 'an celebrities and national calligraphers have written 4 1 couplets for Fengshan. It provides a good first-hand reference for studying the history and culture of Taishan Temple. With the development of history, a unique Fengshan culture has been formed, which integrates tradition, religion, folklore, architecture, sculpture and natural scenery. Penglai Pavilion, built in the 14th year of Qianlong, has become a landmark building in the scenic spot and a cultural symbol of the ancient city of Qin 'an.
