Brief introduction of Liu Yiwen's life
Liu Yiwen (1949-) was born in Rizhao, Shandong. Trained by the imperial court, he studied calligraphy and seal cutting under Pan Xuegu, Su Bai, Fang Quji, Fang Jiekan and Shang Chengzuo. In the early 1980 s, he emerged and gradually established an elegant and refined artistic style. His works have been selected for many times in major calligraphy and seal cutting exhibitions at home and abroad. From 1983 to 1985, the work won the Excellence Award twice. 1987 "Liu Yiwen Painting and Calligraphy Seal Carving Exhibition" was held in Shanghai. He has published Yin Gao, Bebuzhai Zhuji, China Seal Appreciation, Selected Calligraphy of Past Dynasties in China, Regular Script, Yun Hua Ji, Seal, Liu Yiwen Couplet Calligraphy, China Seal Carving, A Painting of Literature and Art, and Contemporary Famous Seal Carving Collection. At present, he is a director of China Calligraphers Association, a member of the Seal Cutting Committee of China Calligraphers Association, a member of Xiling Printing Society, an executive director of Shanghai Calligraphers Association and deputy director of the Seal Cutting Creation Committee, and an associate researcher of Shanghai Museum.
