Where is the Yongtai Temple in Zhengzhou?

Yongtai Temple is one of the scenic spots in Zhengzhou. The detailed address of this scenic spot is at the western foot of Taishi Mountain, about 1 1 km northwest of Dengfeng City, Zhengzhou City. Yongtai Temple was founded in the second year of Zheng Guang in the Northern Wei Dynasty (AD 52 1), with a history of over 400 years. There are three princesses in Yongtai Temple in history: Princess Transshipment, the daughter of Wen Chengdi in the Northern Wei Dynasty, Princess Minglian, the daughter of Liang Wudi in the Southern Dynasty (the ancestor of Zen monks), and Princess Yongtai, the sister of Emperor Xiaoming in the Northern Wei Dynasty. This temple is the first Buddhist monastery built after Zen Buddhism was introduced into China, and it is also the earliest existing royal Buddhist monastery in China, which is called the Buddhist Zen Buddhist monk ancestral temple.

The existing buildings of Yongtai Temple are divided into Wujin Mountain Gate, Tianwang Hall, Chinese Buddha Hall, Ursa Major Hall and Huanggu Building, and the wing rooms include the Temple of Heaven and the Six Ancestors Hall. On the hillside behind the temple, there are: Yongtai Temple Tower in Tang Dynasty, Jun 'an Main Tower in Jin Dynasty and Haoran Wuwei Buddha Tower in Ming Dynasty. These ancient pagodas are elegant and beautiful. There are more than 40 stone tablets and stone carvings scattered in the temple since the Tang Dynasty, with fine carving and smooth calligraphy.

Among the ancient and famous trees, there are poplars known as "Buddhist flagpoles", ginkgo trees bearing fruit one after another, and the only "shepherdess tree" in the film Shaolin Temple. There is also a "Miluo tree" in the temple, which has a history of two thousand years. In the eighth year of the Eastern Han Dynasty, an Indian monk, Mo Teng and Zhu Falan, used bowls as a tribute to China. It was first planted in Baima Temple and then transplanted to Yongtai Temple, and it has been 1500 years. It is also a living witness to the cultural exchange between China and India.

Tangta is located on the hillside about 120 meters northeast of the temple, which has a typical architectural style of the prosperous Tang Dynasty. The tower is a single-story brick tower in Tang Dynasty, with dense eaves and obvious parabolic shape, which is soft and beautiful. At the top of the tower is a hall composed of lotus flowers and five wheels. Its exquisite shape is one of the few existing Tangtata temples in China.
