Tang Lian is a master of calligraphy and painting in Qing Dynasty, a famous figure in Qing Dynasty, and a contemporary of Zhu Kemin. He is known as "the second show in country-specific mountains". Tang Lian also had great attainments in calligraphy. His calligraphy is vigorous, simple and elegant, which is inseparable from his constant hard practice. Tang Lian's students commented on him, "He has worked for more than 70 years and can write more than 1000 words a day. He is diligent and forgetful." So his calligraphy is very collectible.
