⑵ What is the tear-jerking story about a monk who raised a girl and then went to succumb to the devil?
Hello friend,
There is a
Goddess of Conquering Demons
⑶ What is the story about a monk who returned to secular life
A monk became a monk because he could not bear the loneliness of Buddhism. He went down the mountain and returned to secular life.
Within a month, because I couldn’t bear the words of the world, I went up the mountain again.
Within a month, I still went because I couldn’t stand the loneliness.
After doing this three times, the old monk said to him, you don’t need to believe in Buddhism and take off your cassocks; you don’t need to seriously become a layman, just set up a place in the pavilion between the temple and the world. How about selling tea?
This man who returned to secular life hired a young lady and set up a tea shop.
The old monk’s guidance is right. Half-way people can only do half-way things.
Insights on life: In the vast sky and vast universe, it is often difficult for people to find a free space suitable for their own survival. Compared with many people, this monk is lucky because he found the right space after all. own position. However, many people are constantly busy throughout their lives, and at the end of their lives, they still have no place to return.
⑷ The story of the monk and the scholar
Please read Master Xuanhua’s teachings on cause and effect:
When sentient beings cause confusion, create karma, and receive retribution, what do they sow? The cause will produce the result, this is the natural principle. For example, if you sow the cause of Buddha, you will get the fruit of Buddha; if you sow the cause of Bodhisattva, you will get the fruit of Bodhisattva; if you sow the cause of Pratyekabuddha, you will get the fruit of Pratyekabuddha; if you sow the cause of Sravaka, you will get the fruit of Sravaka. These are the four noble paths. . There are also six ordinary realms, which are the three good realms - heaven, humans, and Shura; and the three evil realms - animals, hungry ghosts, and hell. In short, if you sow the cause of the three good ways, you will get the results of the three good ways; if you sow the cause of the three evil ways, you will get the results of the three evil ways. This principle of cause and effect is not at all satisfactory, absolutely true, and has absolutely no superstitious color.
Ignorant people don’t know the power of cause and effect, so they easily mistake cause and effect, or even don’t believe in cause and effect, and there is no cause and effect. Wise people know the power of karma and retribution, so they are afraid of wrong karma and think twice before doing anything. A transcendent saint practices "to achieve cause and effect", while an ordinary person "creates cause and effect". If he has no sin, he will create a sin. If you create a sin and do not admit it is a sin, but take it for granted without any sense of shame, this is adding sin to sin and is unforgivable.
There are all kinds of differences among living beings, including the seeds of good and evil. They are all different, each creates his own karma, and each receives his own retribution. These are all the five aggregates in the five aggregates of form, feeling, thinking, and awareness. Among them, what is accomplished through separation. If you can observe and understand clearly the consequences of various karma, you can understand the nature of all dharma without destroying it.

⑺ Is there a story about the monk Gu Xing?
Master Gu Xing He is from Yanyuan, Yunnan. His parents died when he was young. He married into a family named Zeng in Binchuan County and gave birth to two sons after marriage.
In the thirty-third year of Guangxu, he was twenty years old. There was a famine in his hometown, he was unemployed and had no income, and could not feed his family. He heard that the old monk Xuyun was building a consecration temple in Jizu Mountain, Yunnan, and needed workers, so he He went to Zhusheng Temple to apply for a job with the old monk. Fortunately, he was accepted and accepted. From then on, he lived in the woodshed behind the temple and worked.
He was very diligent and got up to work before dawn. In addition to carrying earth and stones to build the temple every day, he also took the initiative to cultivate a vegetable garden, water, fertilize, and grow vegetables for everyone to eat.
From morning to night, he worked non-stop, never taking a break, let alone saying a word. Others simply called him "deaf".
More than a month later, his family members also came to Zhusheng Temple to seek refuge. The Buddhist temple was originally unable to accommodate female relatives. Unexpectedly, the old monk Xuyun was considerate of their poverty and helplessness and took them in to work in the temple. And let them live in huts on the hill behind the temple. Their whole family was sincerely grateful. In addition to working as temple builders, they also took the initiative to keep the temple spotless. They also reclaimed the back hill into a farm and planted vegetables, fruits, beans, etc. for the whole temple to eat.
He liked to listen to old monk Xuyun’s sermons. Because he could not read a single Chinese character, he could not understand even the more profound ones. However, he firmly remembered the old monk’s words: “As long as you recite the Buddha’s name with all your heart, , you can be reborn in the Western Paradise!" So he asked the old monk to teach him how to chant the Buddha's name.
After learning to recite the Buddha's name, he chanted the Buddha's name from morning to night, whether he was hoeing soil, planting vegetables, moving bricks, or picking stones. When they were twenty-one years old, their whole family made an appointment with each other to ask the old monk Xuyun to ordain them. After he received the full ordination, he was given the Buddhist title "Gu Xing" by the old monk.
The old monk taught him to recite Buddha's name and meditate, and even instructed him: "As long as you have no self and no desires in your heart, you will naturally realize that "I am not myself."" He did not understand "I "It's not me", but the old monk said that as long as he "cultivates diligently and wholeheartedly", one day he can truly understand.
Putting on monk's robes and chanting Buddha's name wholeheartedly from morning to night, he officially became a monk , but every day he still plants vegetables, picks up manure, waters, picks rocks, carries soil, and cleans... He never takes a break, just like before, and he remains silent for a long time. The only difference is that others didn't care about him before. He was called "Deaf Monk", and now he is called "Deaf Monk".
In 1915, the old monk Xuyun thought that he was doing well in cultivation, but unfortunately he had too little experience and was afraid that he would stay by his side and fall into obsession, so he He was forced to go down the mountain to pay homage to the famous Taoist temple in the world. Monk Gu Xing was reluctant to leave, but he did not dare to go against his orders, so he reluctantly went down the mountain.
In 1920, the old monk Xuyun started to rebuild Yun. In Qi Temple, monk Gu Xing heard the news and thought that the master was short of manpower, so he rushed back. When old monk Xuyun saw him, he was very surprised, but asked him: "I want you to go to study, how can you come back." What's up? Monk Gu Xing said: "There are no more famous mountains in the world than this!" The old monk asked again: "What are you going to do when you come back?" "Monk Gu Xing said: "I can only serve the master and do heavy labor. ”
Monk Gu Xing, who returned to the old monk Xuyun, resumed his old profession, digging soil, moving stones, building walls, building houses, growing vegetables, farming, harvesting rice, threshing, and so on. Trees, collecting firewood, sweeping, picking up dung, watering, cooking, cooking, mending the clothes of Master and fellow practitioners, being the first to go to the temple to attend morning classes... He always refused to take a minute off, but he still He kept silent for a long time and recited the Buddha's name wholeheartedly.
However, he can now recite sutras. Every night, he recites the "Diamond Sutra", "Medicine Master Sutra" and the Pure Land sutras, and prays them word by word.
When the project was underway to build the Haihui Stupa, Monk Gu Xing was already in his forties. One day, he suddenly asked the old monk Xuyun to allow him to guard the stupa after it was completed. Old Monk Xuyun knew about Monk Gu Xing's arrival and was very reluctant to leave him.
During this year's Spring Ring, Old Monk Xu Yun especially wanted Monk Gu Xing to be the ceremonial witness. The disciples who were ordained asked Monk Gu Xing for instructions. Monk Gu Xing said: "I became a monk halfway and didn't know a word, but I just recited "Amitabha"!"
On this night, Monk Gu Xing arrived as usual. Old monk Xuyun paid his respects in the Zen room, but today he couldn't help but prostrate himself on the ground in sadness. He said: "Master! The disciple is leaving! I came here to say goodbye! After the disciple leaves, who will serve the master?" Old monk Xuyun said: "Good boy, what should I do? Just go and do it! Don't let me miss you. It’s a big thing! I’m here to chant sutras to help you.”
After nightfall, the prison master went to the ward to do a roll call, but no one could find Monk Gu Xing. Just as everyone was talking about it, they suddenly saw a dazzling white light flashing several times in a row, shooting straight into the night sky and illuminating it all.
Villagers who lived outside the temple and were enjoying the cool weather before falling asleep also saw a strong white light rising into the sky from the temple. They thought the temple was on fire and hurried in.
The monks and villagers found the source of the white light together, lit torches and took a look, only to see Monk Gu Xing sitting upright, eyes half-closed, smiling, hands clasped and feet clasped, sitting motionless. Then, someone stepped forward to pull him away. At this time, old monk Xuyun arrived in time and stopped everyone.
The old monk told everyone that Monk Gu Xing has passed away. The white light that everyone saw just now is the light of the true fire of samadhi emitted by Monk Gu Xing. He has burned himself to ashes with the real fire. , a slight vibration will turn it into a pile of ashes, and no one can touch it.
Everyone looked at Monk Gu Xing carefully and saw that he was wearing a cassock, holding a chime in his left hand and a wooden fish in his right hand. He was sitting facing the west. His face was lifelike, but there was no rise and fall of breathing. He was clearly a living monk. Monk, but the wooden fish handle, chime handle, monk's shoes, as well as the rice straw and futon where he sat have all turned into ashes.
When the old monk Xuyun saw the auspicious appearance of the Dharma body of the monk Tou Xing, he prayed to the monk Tou Xing to keep it alive for one more day and let reporters take photos and document it to spread it to the world and save all sentient beings.
The next day, the old monk invited the photojournalist of "Kunming Daily", Jiyao, the governor of Tang Dynasty in Yunnan Province, Zhucun, Director Wang of the Department of Finance, Zhuoxian, Director Zhang of the Water Conservancy Bureau, and distinguished people from all walks of life in Kunming. Buddhists from Kunming also came to pay their respects.
Seeing that Monk Tou Xing’s merits and virtues had been completed, the old monk Xuyun took off the small chime from Monk Tou Xing’s hand in public. He said to Monk Tou Xing, “You can go west with peace of mind” while tapping the small chime. At the third ring, Monk Gu Xing's whole body vibrated, and he instantly fell over and turned into ashes.
Old monk Xuyun, who was regarded as his master, actually put his hands together and knelt down to worship in public. The Governor of the Tang Dynasty and thousands of guests also knelt down and worshiped. The next day, "Kunming Daily" published the news and photos as headlines, causing a sensation throughout Yunnan. My whole body was burned to ashes, why didn’t I fall down? What kind of fire can burn a person's whole body to ashes? Since it is burned to ashes, how can it maintain its original shape, posture, and appearance? The whole body was burned to ashes, how could the cassock be fine? ...There are so many incredible things that make Yunnan people more firm in their belief in Buddhism, and tens of thousands of people come to the mountain to worship.
⑻ A fable about monks
You have to persevere to the end, otherwise all your efforts will be in vain
⑼ The story of three monks ( Full version)
There is a temple on a high mountain, and a young monk lives in it. He has to go down the mountain to fetch water every day. At night, when mice came out to steal food, the little monk would hit them with wooden sticks, often leaving the house in a mess.
Later, a thin monk came to the temple, but the young monk still went down the mountain to carry water every day. The thin monk only knew how to have fun and only drank water without carrying water. The young monk asked the thin monk to carry the water, but the thin monk asked the young monk to carry the water. The two of them pushed me and I pushed you, but neither of them gave way, and neither of them refused to carry the water. Finally they decided to carry water together. And the bucket must be placed in the middle so that no one will suffer.
In the evening, the little monk asked the thin monk to fight the mouse, and the thin monk asked the little monk to fight the mouse. The two kept pushing and pushing until dawn, but no one came.
Soon, another fat monk came. He didn’t want to fetch water himself, so he asked the other two people to do it. The little monk and the thin monk both shook their heads and went to chant sutras.
The fat monk went to pick up two large buckets of water, and then drank them all by himself. So all three of them refused to fetch water. Days passed, and the water tank was empty every day. They were thirsty and hungry. They stopped reciting the sutras and knocking wooden fishes. They slept in an unsteady state every day. The temple is getting more and more deserted.
One night, the mice came out. With food available, some gnawed on tables and chairs. A mouse accidentally bumped into a candle on the table and the curtain caught fire. The flames slowly spread and were about to climb to the roof, but the three monks were still sleeping soundly.
The little monk woke up due to the smoke and shouted: "It's on fire, it's on fire, put out the fire!" Then the three monks worked hard to put out the fire together. The fire was extinguished and they also woke up.
From then on, the three of them were no longer lazy. Each of them took turns fetching water every day. They never had any quarrels and lived happily.
(9) Extended reading of the touching story about the monk:
1. Character introduction:
1. Little Monk
The young monk discovered the small temple on the top of the mountain during his travels, so he settled down and diligently fetched water and chanted sutras every day. But after the fat monk came, Shou became lazy and carried water with the thin monk. When the fat monk arrived, no one was willing to fetch water.
2. The thin monk
The thin monk was the second to settle down in the small temple. After arriving at the small temple, the thin monk no longer wanted to fetch water alone, and finally went to carry it with the young monk. Fetch water. In the evening, I heard the young monk knocking on the wooden fish, which disturbed my rhythm. They both stopped knocking on the wooden fish and chanted Buddha's name.
3. The Fat Monk
The Fat Monk was the last person to settle down in the small temple. After arriving at the small temple, he drank the water in the water tank and was unwilling to fetch it. Finally, The fuss made the three of them unwilling to fetch water anymore. In the end, everyone had no water to drink.
2. Implication:
If there is no system to guarantee something, responsibilities will not be implemented, and there will be too many people to accomplish the task. Why didn't the three monks have water to drink? Because the three monks have the same mentality and the same ideological realm, they all want to rely on others and pass the blame on each other on the issue of getting water. As a result, no one went to get water, so everyone had no water to drink.
⑽ The story about monk oiling
Maybe this means that if you arrange flowers with intention, they will not bloom, but if you do not intend to plant willows, don’t be too persistent in anything. Excessive efforts will lead to mistakes and stress. Bar. In Buddhism, it’s called letting go. This is just my personal opinion.
