Xu Guangqi (1861-1931), a native of Handan, Hebei, was a modern educator and reformer in China. It is characterized by a simple and planned combination of the composition of Chinese characters and the writing of regular script, thus forming a simple and easy-to-learn Chinese character teaching method.
